I think they're incorporating the amount of promo she did with the album sales

artpop era was succesful tho and had a really good promo in my opinion

 

I think it's all because she hasn't released music video to Do What U Want and it took a long time to release next single which unfortunately flopped

Personally, I find Work Bitch to be as artificial sounding as any other song today. It does not deserve a Grammy just like every other no-substance-having song that has been nominated this year.

Had Alien (maybe) or Hold on Tight been released, then I would say a nomination would be warranted.
