What they didn't understand is that she was an actress too, even before BOMT came out. The same with Christina and her movie years later. I think Britney should have had a special role in some other movie, before starring at her own one, just to gain some credibility. Or maybe if she appeared on another movie right after Crossroads, they could have looked back at it like, oh, it wasn't that bad after all, or something Like, oh her FIRST movie.But then, as years went by, it stayed as a bad movie in GP eyes, because, well, she didn't do any other movie after that, so maybe "it wasn't that good" or Britney "doesn't have what it's needed to act in movies".

I remember thinking it was so cheesy but it was a movie by BRITNEY SPEARS! I remember lotsa people around me hated the movie. It's always been "cool" to hate Britney. I swear people are just so damn two faced! On the other hand.. I feel so old now! 1

I don't get the hate either, I guess the GP rly loves dising her, yet she's always on top, idgi. She was also supposed to be the main role in the Notebook, and I bet that movie would have been just as hated if Britney was acting in it , no matter if it was good or bad lol. GP is a bitch, they thought Britney was vulgar, well now they can have nicki, beyonce, kesha and every other big disgusting ASS on the stage. Enjoy GP, I bet you want Britney's decency and subtle sexiness back now huh bitches?
