Iggy Confirms Collab Will Be The Lead Single And Is Coming Early Next Year!

I'm glad that new music is coming but at the same time I'm mad that lead single probably will be a collab with Iggy :/

Honestly, I was too. But now that I think of it, she needs to be put back on the music map and at least pull out another hit. Then after the song does well, she would release a solo single as single #2. Kind of like Ariana Grande. Her first single set her up for more hits to come. Not saying Britney is like Ariana, but ya know.

It feels so f*cking bad to think our Queen needs to be put back on the radar :icanttt: Her legacy was heavily damaged with BJ/Vegas. :crying3:

I'm just worried that new album will be another Britney Jean which I don't like at all and this collab with Iggy will be something generic just to gain good position on the charts... hopefully I'm wrong, but we'll have to wait and see. I also wasn't expecting anything at the beggining of next year, because Britney said that this time it will be a long process and it seems that a lot of work is already done. IDK what to think :/

It's not really as bad as we put it tho. Work Bitch was huge without being a massive chart success. Everyone I know knows that song and knows Britney for having that song, it's one of her most known songs (recently speaking). The Britney Jean seems like it acted as a sort of therapeutic release for Britney. Collaborating with big name artists and coming back like this may be the outcome of her releasing the personal music she wanted. Now she's happy.

And Britney doesn't need to be back on the map. Britney Spears is one of the biggest names in media culture. She's mentioned every day. Her music just needs a rebound chart wise. So on the musical map, yes she needs to be brought back up.

Well think of it this way. Britney's been on break from Vegas for a while. She hasn't been in the news or really even out of the house it seems. If Britney said she wanted to collab with Iggy, and then they immediately reached out to her to record a few songs, wouldn't you think she's already been hard into the project? If that makes any sense. Like if she's already bringing in these big names then she has to be halfway through this project and is happy with it. She said she wanted to take her time with it, so maybe she's been working hard at it for a while and has gotten further than she thought.

wow, It's kinda sad that her lead single is going to be a collab :/

I mean yes, we had MATM but that was fucking Madonna, this is Iggy

I'm really really excited, anyway, I'm not gonna lie

New single, no matter if it's a collab or not, leads to more singles, more videos, and an album. I know that gets me excited. Lol.

And it'll probably be like "Problem" and have Iggy during the last section of the song and not for that long tbh.

maybe you're right, but only time will tell. I just don't want to expect too much and then be disapointed

Let's just forget about BJ, alright? Cause if you really think that then I respect you and your opinion. But personally, I refuse to believe Britney really thinks THAT is a personal album. Half-produced, empty lyrics, accepting credits that shouldn't be given to her, someone else singing over her.... I mean :umno: When SHE gives something, she gives her all :bigtime: From ITZ to (even one of the most disliked albums by many, not me) Femme Fatale, she made sure that what was delivered was a part of her. The production, lyrics, cohersion of each of those albums really shows how much Britney was involved.

Britney Jean is a slap on my face, but not from Britney, but from Flop.i.am. :overitkbye:

After giving Britney's fans a slap on their face, she needs to appeal to many of us with GOOD music; I don't care that much about if it becomes a hit or not. I want QUALITY.

That said, I hope Iggy helps her regain people's respect for her legacy and move on from all the negativity BJ brought up (the whole Myah thing, Alien, etc, etc.). :mhm:

This is all very true.

I guess we never really know what Britney thinks is most personal to her. Maybe the lyrics and sound of the album reflected her at that time in her life and that could be how she sees the album as personal. Idek.

It could be, but I actually think by the time Britney said for the first time she'd "like to" collaborate with Iggy, it's because her record label had already begun a damage control plan, and the Iggy collab had already been recorded by the time she was interviewed in NYC FW. :mhm:

She has this collab with Iggy and the track with Moroder waiting in the wings.  '15 for pop is looking better already and I am ready.   :fliph:

I think that, when she said it was therapeutic for her, she meant songs like Alien, Til It's Gone, Passenger (despite the shady vocal production of those three), Don't Cry, Brightest Morning Star and Hold On Tight; especially the latter two. But the rest... :icanttt:

:mhm: Kinda like what Circus started out as--just Britney going back into the studio. Of course, Circus had a better result......
