Yes, because "3," Circus, and Femme Fatale happened all were met with great success.  The critical acclaim for Blackout didn't happen initially but had this strong cult-like following that once you put her personal issues aside lies a great album.

what is pop music w/o blackout tho?

Tell it James, tell it preach-o.gif

Imo Britney exemplified her ability to progress and again try new sounds, with one of her edgiest, carefree and honest albums to date. If she'd had a crap album instead, her rep may have become more tarnished I feel. But instead, Britney was like "yeah I've been going through some tough s**t but at the end of the day, I can still put out an awesome ass album!" :dealwitit: "Bet you didn't see that comin' " :howiroll:

:P

So I feel Britney would've stayed relevant, (even if just for her personal dramas and the fact that she was so big in the years before) but Blackout gave her that extra boost, that kept her a game changer
