We wouldn't know anything if Iggy herself didn't spill the tea. Do you think her team is planning a surprise release and do you think it's a good idea?

She has never had a good opinion from the GP or radio play, she's not like someone like Beyonce who DOES have a good GP opinion. If she does surprise release it, it would work with fans and some other Pop fanbases but I doubt the GP.

If she did promo (I know this keeps coming up) then I think she could at least get back to Femme Fatale level. Just a performance on the VMAs, X Factor, GMA? But she would have to slay, I'm kind of glad the GP didn't notice BJ tbh or else this era which is amazing so far could have been a disaster. She just needs the GP behind her again. 2

It has to be radio accessible, GP friendly, and have a hot video. Ooh La La killed the last albums momentum, and Work Bitch was so censored and not accessible to younger fans. What I hear from friends who aren't hardcore fans is that they don't want autotune or EDM from Britney - they want sexy, catchy pop. 1

If she was gonna do a Beyoncé move then she would of told all the producers and collabors to keep there mouth shut & she would of also hit them with a confidentiality agreement. But Iggy has been spilling the beans and William orbit / Anthony Preston has been giving hints & spillin bit of beans them selves

A more traditional release will be enough. She's probably going to confirm the title of the song before a snippet goes live and then she'll probably drop the single the next day or week after that. She may want to move up the release though because now that Iggy confirmed the single is the lead, someone may try to leak it sooner.

That's how they work. it's always a big silence, and then they tell everything at the last minute they really aren't good to create hype tbh. And IF she does a surprise release, i don't know, alone it would flop as fuck tbh, but since it's a Iggy collab i don't know, people could be interested. Thing is, Britney isn't in the public eyes musically speaking since a long time, a lot don't even know the existence of Perfume or even BJ itself. So unless she promotes like crazy, nobody will know about it, and it could be worse than her last singles...

The fact she could half ass a month's shows in a row and still get attendance says something. She's generally liked and not as hated as Gaga lately, doesn't scream hasbeen as much as Avril and isn't over 40 like JLo. Iggy was clearly chosen so the song would get played on pop radio. I think what they have to do is release the song with a controversial new music video (by controversial, I mean her dancing like Primeney and Womanizer production) to get a bump in initial exposure. The rest will have to do with the song quality/likability. Like what was mentioned, it HAS to be Max Martin-penned. She could of course try to do promo for it like a GMA special live from Axis Theater (a special show for a batch of her new songs) but we'll have to assume the worst and think nothing will happen. I'm all for the surprise SINGLE though, not surprise album.

So far all we heard About the album is that ed sheeran, Anthony Preston , William orbit are involved and there's no executive producer for the album , only brit.. So that's the good part & Iggy is the only collab so far

Britneys album is coming, yes, but I don't think so soon as you guys think, but of course there will be a 9th album, but I don't believe so soon
