People say it's very weak album because it was rushed and after Blackout which was a huge masterpiece if we're talking about the production it sounded really different and very pop (you know, her previous album was a really strong (as Britney would call it) "urban" record).

 

Almost everyone I know and think that Circus is alright, love the single choices + Shattered Glass, L&L and Unusual You, but for me almost every song is perfect. It all depends on the taste, however sometimes I think that hate to songs such as Mmm Papi and My Baby is a little unclear cuz almost every fan who uses online forums find these not cool like it's a tradition in B-Army (same with Soda Pop, Big Fat Bass, Dear Diary, Brave New Girl etc) but after all, I'm not going to argue with anyone, because everyone likes something different, am I wrong?

I think Femme Fatale was the first official album I was waiting for as I became a fan a bit after Circus was released

 

But Circus also has some great bonus tracks like Quicksand and Trouble which if included on the standard edition, would have made the album as a whole a lot better imo! But yeah the single choices were great! Except for Radar

I became her fan in early 2006 or november/december 2005 if I'm not wrong, but you know, I wasn't "on a regular basis" that time and I had no idea Blackout is coming, just remember it leaked earlier and I was listening to the version with Hooked On and other unreleased songs + demos thinking it's an official release

 

Circus defenitely has a couple of strong bonus tracks, I still have no idea why they're not included on the standard edition. Trouble is really great, I also think that they should've put Dangerous instead of Shattered Glass on the standard edition ( probably the only one track on Circus I dislike  ). And yeah, I agree, both sound like fillers however I love Lace And Leather and I'm glad she performed it on the Femme Fatale Tour! 

 

Blur is flawless, that's true, unfortunately a lot of fans don't like it but I understand, because it sounds very different than any of Britney's classic ballads   It's probably my favorite Britney tracks, the lyrics means so much to me and everything about this song, I was listening to it literally 24/7 when Circus has leaked I miss those times so much! 

 

I get why people don't like Mmm Papi tho, because the lyrics are so weak that I can't even (I still cannot believe that it was written by a woman who wrote songs like Mona Lisa or Everytime :orangu), but I think it's a fun, catchy song and  really loved the sound   I hope that instrumental will eventually leak one day

 

My Baby is cute, maybe a bit cheesy but it's a pretty song and for me it's just part 2 of Someday since they both are about her sons

I'd always loved Everytime, years before I even became a fan. OMG I even bought ITZ when it first came out and barely listened to it I was like 8 or 9 at the time  Luckily, I can now appreciate it for what it is

Shattered Glass just sounds completely unfinished. Kind of like Body Ache
