Actually I've never stopped listening to most of the songs...

Brightest morning star

Work Bitch

Alien

Passenger

Don't cry

Till it's gone

It should be easy

Hold on tight

Now that I found you

I got bored with perfume really fast though

Nowadays I'm constantly listening to this gem:

Same here, I listen to at least most of the songs you just mentioned every day.

I never really liked that version that much tbh!  :aww1:

'Alien', 'Work Bitch', 'Til It's Gone', 'Don't Cry', 'Brightest Morning Star', and 'Hold On Tight' are the only songs that are good as they are.  I would make changes to every other track on the album:

1. 'Perfume'-  Instead of trying to belt the chorus and sounding so strained, I wish she had sung it in falsetto, like the chorus of 'BMS'.

2. 'It Should Be Deleted'- Yeah, this song shouldn't even be on the album, period.  But if it absolutely had to be included, Britney should have done will.i.am's parts, and the unnecessary effects on her voice should have been removed.

3. 'Tik Tik Boom'- Anticlimactic.  I like it, but it goes nowhere.  All of the remixes are better, because they actually pump some life into the song.

4. 'Body Ache'- Same as above.  Plus, Myah's vocals on the second verse are so noticeable.

5. 'Passenger'- "Riiiiiiiiiiiide"...need I say more?

6. 'Chillin' With You'- It belongs in the scrap heap with 'ISBE'.  You can't tell me that Britney didn't record at least two other songs that were better than these two.

7. 'Now That I Found You'- This wouldn't be bad if it didn't sound so unfinished and demo-ish.  Too bad, because it would have been a decent single.

Anyway, I really hope that Album 9 is a return to form and that it isn't so easy to criticize the majority of it, like it is with BJ.

I think maybe we still need to give the album more time...If people who hate Britney Jean now go back and listen in a few years I think it is likely to grow on them. I didn't love Circus when it first came out, but now when it's almost 2015 I find myself listening to a lot of Circus tracks. I think Britney Jean is a very solid album, and it's provided some of my favorite Britney songs. Maybe it's not Blackout, but it's still a great album. I think fans need to just listen and enjoy to Britney's albums as they are, rather than expecting all of her music to match up to their own Britney Spears pop idealism. If we just listen to her albums on their own without meaningless comparisons to her other music, and stop worrying about irrelevant things like sales and writing credits, we can realize that all Britney albums are masterpieces of pop music. Appreciate Britney Jean and all of Britney's albums for the amazing music they've provided us. Passenger, Hold On Tight, and Work Bitch, and Perfume are all definitely awesome songs in my opinion. Maybe Britney Jean doesn't match up to some of you're standards, but fuck your standards. Enjoy the music!

Also, I've noticed how trendy it is for Britney fans to hate her current albums and tours and praise the one that came directly before. It's strange. Everyone bitched about Femme Fatale when it came out, and then once Britney Jean came out and the Vegas residency began, I started to see Femme Fatale and the FFT being praised. We need to live in the current era and stop comparing everything to the passed or the unforeseen future, so we can truly appreciate whats going on right now.

Britney Jean is the only album I have to delude myself into believing she is singing lead 100% all the way thru, that is the biggest issue.  I can overlook incomplete, poorly produced material but the fact her team & will.i.am tried to pass Myah Marie's airy, exaggerated baby cooing off as the primary artist is insulting and more then enough reason to shade.  There are some good songs featured --  for example "Passenger" is one of my faves and despite how basic "Body Ache" is the vocals are smooth & sexy... however that ain't Britney, bitch -- but ultimately this album will always be what *could* have been instead of what we ended up with.  I don't think history will repeat itself when B9 rolls around, I think many are more then willing to forget BJ's existence.  Her team certainly has.

Work Bitch GENERIC EDM TRASH HALF SUNG BY MYAH

Perfume CUTE BUT LYRICS ARE A DISASTER

Passenger (One of the best songs she's recorded in years) HALF SUNG BY MYAH, ONE OF HER BEST SONG EVER RUINED BY A TOTAL TRASHY PRODUCTION

Hold On Tight (Same as Passenger) CUTE

Now That I Found You (Debatable, but I personally love it!) CUTE BUT THE COUNTRY CHORUS DESTROYS THE SONG

Don't Cry (Would be better with a bridge, but still a solid track) NO. VOCALS ARE AUTOTUNED TO DEATH, CHORUS IS CHEESY, NO BRIDGE

Alien (Would have made a great single) WEAK MELODY WEAK VOCALS WEAK PRODUCTION NO BRIDGE

Brightest Morning Star (Like DC, would benefit even more with a bridge, but still a really sweet song) SWEET BUT NO

Till It's Gone (Personally the EDM in the chorus is a bit much, but lyrically wise, it's a good song) IT SOUNDS LIKE A CHEAP EDM REMIX FOR AN UNUSED "BRITNEY" DEMO SUNG BY MYAH

Is it her best album? Probably not.

Is it as bad as some people make it out to be? Definitely not.

I'd say it's on par with Circus in terms of quality, if not even better than Circus.   BETTER THAN WOMANIZER? CIRCUS? SHATTERED GLASS? BLUR? AMNESIA? MANNEQUIN? KILL THE LIGHTS? IF U SEEK AMY? UNUSUAL YOU? PHONOGRAPHY? QUICKSAND? LACE AND LEATHER? SERIOUSLY?

I agree that it's way way way better than most fans give it credit for!!    I would agree with you about the Circus comparison if BJ had more tracks.. it was just soooo short.  :crying1:

Personally I think the first 7 songs on the album are FLAWLESS Britney Classics that are as good as some songs on BO and ITZ..

1. "Alien"

2. "Work Bitch"

3. "Perfume"

4. "It Should Be Easy" feat. will.i.am

5. "Tik Tik Boom" feat. T.I.

6. "Body Ache"

7. "Til It's Gone"

The rest are not bad but could be better. Actually I also like NTIFY.. Oh and I still like ISBE but I really wish that Will I Flop hadn't used robotney vocals.. it would be 50x better without robotney.  :mhm:
