For a single to have longevity it actually helps for the video to come out a while later. In some cases, yes of course, it works to release them on the same day, but that's typically when both the single AND video are a total surprise (Shake it Off, Drunk in Love). If Britney releases a new track - with Igloo, no less - that will have enough hype in itself. The momentum was broken for WB with S&S and OLL. Back in 1999, the BOMT video was released over a month after the single. Slave 4 U's video came out 3 weeks after she premiered the song on the VMAs... it's not at all uncommon for there to be a space in-between to allow the song to grow a bit.

I feel like in this case, it would be right to have the video close to it, though, seeing as there is very little hype for the song. :yaknow: There is a chance it won't be given a chance.

shake it off was a surprise? damn, I thought only beyonce and now madonna were doing the surprise thing, but if this is a trend maybe britney will follow it, since she's not seting the trends but following them lately :yakno:

I'm hoping they follow the HIAM / FF formula for this new era. But do you remember when they had a 2 week countdown for the HIAM video? :britdrown:

I loved the count down. it held me up untill the video was released. made the anticipation much more dramatic
