Oops!... I Did It Again, of course :xf1:

Blackout isn't a bad album, it's just too overrated. A similar case with Britney Jean, is not a bad album, but it's too underrated. The thing with Blackout is that I don't even consider it a Pop album per se :yaknow: I feel Blackout just like a different facet of Britney Spears, when she was trying to be different, she did it, and that's it. She went back to her Pop roots, and everything was almost normal again with Circus. And I feel the same with EDM, she needs to leave it behind and make pop, organic music again. :thatsright:

So Blackout was just Britney trying to be different (even though she obviously loves the album to this day)? And what? Britney Jean was Britney being herself? Yeah sure. :inneresting: Personal issues aside, Britney made the albums Blackout and ITZ when she had the most say in the music. I'd hardly call them her just trying to be rebellious and edgy. Circus is more pop, but it's great because it's also unique. And uniqueness is what I think makes Brit's music her own. Britney Jean tried to be unique, but failed.

Well, she said several times that Britney Jean was like an experiment (of will.i.am). I know she also said tons of times it was going to be the most personal and urban, and well, it is not, I know. And yes, ITZ and Blackout may be the albums where she was involved the most, but I think they're very different, because the context, the circumstances of her life when she recorded each of them were very different.

I don't doubt that Britney likes Blackout, I mean, the Circus Tour seemed like a Blackout Tour instead, and POM has tons of Blackout songs as well. However, I don't think she would like to recreate that sound again. If that was the case, she would have sticked to that sound for Circus, Femme Fatale, and specially Britney Jean, when 'Blackout 2.0' was suggested.

I feel like arguing, but I really don't know what I'm arguing about :thatsfunny: I love all of the albums and songs by Britney Spears. I have my favorite ones, of course. I was just saying that Blackout is so overrated, because it is overrated. Many people put it like Blackout redifined music, or that is what defines "Britney Spears" (talking about the artist). But if we review her whole career, we see that Blackout was like an isolated moment in her dischography, we can't say that it evolved from the sounds of BOMT or OIDIA, or that Femme Fatale or Britney Jean are a continuation of that. I know, each album is unique, but what I mean is that we can see in Circus or BJ some resemblance to her first albums (and I'm NOT saying that they're as good as the first albums).

On another subject... :P I don't get why people is always expecting 'a personal album'. I mean, I do understand why would they want such a thing, but Britney has never been that kind of artist. Also, she's on a very good place right now, so I don't think we'll get heartbreak songs or even less, songs talking about what she went through 7 years ago. She's not struggling with fame anymore, so what do they want when they ask for a personal album? Songs that talk about what she's going to cook for dinner? Songs about her 6 or 7 custom changes? :lmaolol:

I'd prefer Britney having more control, or all the control in the creative process of the music, I don't care if the songs are written by other people and don't resemble anything in Britney's life. I just want something that sounds good, that Britney makes it of her own, even if it ends up sounding like Blackout :omg1: . :trollney:

I guess I just want you to cross over to the dark side. :crying2::trollney:

But yes to everything you said at the end. I just want a good album Britney has a lot of say in. It doesn't really have to be personal, but I do think when she writes more meaningful songs they turn out to be beautiful. So if she takes that route I'm not complaining. I'd also like for her to do something new and out of the box. I don't need another *insert album name here*, I just need another Britney album I can love. :mhm:

EXACTLY. I just want a whole new album that defines by itself, and not a Circus 2.0, or Blackout 2.0, Oops 2.0 :mhm:

(but if it's a Oops 2.0 I wouldn't mind :thatsfunny: )

I really, really wish she comes out with something original, different from the mainstream, and not EDM again, but I guess I'll be here supporting anything that she gives us at the end :mahhaw:
