It was her second biggest slow beat song after FTBOMBH allegedly. I wonder if FF was originally going this route like Criminal and HATLM.

 

The video is meh but the song has the Britney signature

My moment becoming a stan was right after I wanna go mv. Actually, i'm convinced that criminal was the final thing that turned me into a britney stan so, even if I didn't know EVERYTHING about britney, and not even near as much as I know now, this video is still one of my favorites bc it remindss me of how amazed I was. I never realized how beautiful britney spears was till IWG and Criminal! not even kidding I was like this is the most beautiful woman on earth and her songs are jams and omg so many good memories and it was like 3 years ago, lol. Maybe I wouldn't love the song as much as I do if it wasn't for the video. Slay femme fatalney! bringing new fans and pulling us into mental breakdowns and internet forums

I think exactly the opposite: for me the song is meh but the video is by far, the best from the FF era, she looks stunning and I think is the best she looked since IUSA. I voted for Inside Out in that poll, but because there were only 3 options. For me Trip to Your Heart should have been the next single and Scary as a 5th single

Criminal was my favourite song when FF came out, so I was really excited when it became a single because I wasn't expecting a mid-tempo to be released. I love the video aswell, she looks breathtaking and the story is really interesting (even tho it's kind of awkward to watch since she broke up with Jason )
