What Would U Guys Think Of Brit Making Hipster Music

and i am not sure what the definiton of hipster to u is or what it is nowadays but i was listening to a calming hipsterish playlist the other day and there were songs such as breathe me by sia or birdy or alanis morrisette and i was like oh this would b nice if brit had a few songs like this too or even like a new image for the new era. i can totally see her pull this off but what do u guys think? i dont like mainsteam music, i am defnintely a calming music type of person so if this kind of music is considered hipster than thats what im into. gotta update my ipod lol also what type of music do u guys listen to?

I don't like "Hipster" as a concept, but yeah, it would be nice if Britney made a song that's kind of different and experimental. She could release it as a promotional single and still have a radio friendly song as an official single

I don't exactly know what hipster music sounds like lol..But I love Alanis Morrisette and Birdy!Britney already covered Morrissette's song on Circus tour, I'm totally up for songs like You Oughta Know or Ironic.

I wouldn't be against it (not in a Birdy type, i don't like her music it's too boring), but just like 2-3 songs tbh, i mean it's Britney Spears she can't just have "calm" songs lol.

I want Pop rock so bad in this new album, but most important i really hope we won't have generic EDM again

But actually if the album has to be EDM-something (cause it probably will be like this) I want it to be as good as Confessions On A Dancefloor or at maybe Femme Fatale

u didn't like the bj album? i thought ff was a very britney album. i mean yes more edm than usual. more generic stuff but the album was also perfection just like any britney album. and bj i love so much. it had some great songs. i loved almost all of them. i even grew to lovee isbe. i think edm can b really fun sometimes. and i never understood the hate with chillin with u. did u like that song?

As anyone else has said, I don't know what exactly the concept of 'hipster music' is, but I wish she could find a new sound, with the help of the best producers (Max Martin) where maybe she could add these "hipster" elements and combine them with something catchy and pop, as we're used to hear from Britney. Again, I don't know if this "hipster/pop" combination is already out there in the current music scene, but I definitely think she needs to reinvent pop music, trying not to include so much EDM, or no EDM at all, and staying away from what's in the mainstream right now.

I don't care if it's hipster or african influences, but she needs to bring something very different, mixed with the signature pop vibe she always have had. Like when she experimented with dubstep, and EDM, well I think it's time to bring something else

oh why not? i feel like the term hipster isnt used corectly. but to me, it means something really nice. i definitely identify with it
