Hey y'all. :bomt:

Thought it would be a fun thread to share and discuss when you first heard of Britney and the moment you became a Britney fan. Was it since Baby One More Time or are you a newer fan because of something more recent in her career? ;)

I remember I was about 9 years old and saw the Baby One More Time music video come on MTV. I was wondering who she was and really loved the song. I even had a small poster of her in my room, but I was way more into the Spice Girls back then. However, I've loved her songs and videos ever since. I became an ever bigger fan after I saw Crossroads. I just loved that movie and really fell in love with her.

Discuss!

I became a fan when I heard Gimme More and Piece of Me, I thought she was really interesting at that time and her music was good. Later on as soon as I heard a commercial for Circus on TV and I heard circus I was an instant Stan. The song was so amazing and I loved it. Then I went on to buy my first CD which was circus and then blackout and since then I have gotten all of her albums and fallen in love with her as a person & an artist.

It was 2002.

I was fucking 7 years old and i remember ''Slave 4 u'' was playing on the tv. Well i was young and i started to be a fan since. The when Toxic came i was obsessed. I was in love with that girl until 2010. I stop being a fan since but i kept listening to her song (she released Femme Fatale then). Then i became a stan in the summer of 2014. I was singing oops in the bathroom and i was like what is that Britney doing now?

Then i watched this video (I didn't know she had a song called ''perfume'' :thatsfunny: )

Now i'm staning hard again :crying1:

Ps: Is it weird that the time i wasn't fan the people around me were going crazy with Britney (Hold it agaist me, Till the world ends, Scream and shout, work bitch, i wanna go was playing everywhere)?

:crying2: This is my very long and obstacle filled story of how I became a stan today.

The year was 2003, I was around 4 years old, and I loved Britney because of how much I heard the "britney" album that my mon owned, I loved it to the point where my dad got me Oops I Did it Again, which had more songs than I enjoyed, however afterwards In The Zone came out :crying4: Don't get me wrong I love In The Zone but my dad forbade me from listening to it because the woman at the CD store refused to sell it to us saying Britney was for adults only. Then they got rid of my CDs and VHS :moorangu: back when those existed. Anyways then in 2008 Womanizer came out I was slayed by it, so my cousin took me to secretly buy Circus so my parents wouldn't get mad, we ended up buying Blackout, and In The Zone too  . This time however even if my parents were reluctant they agreed to let me listen to Britney and a couple of months later got me tickets to the Circus tour. Back then I went to a K-12 school and I was in 4th-5th grade so the middle schoolers bullied me because of my love for Britney which lead me to make the sad descision to hide my CDs where I would never find them and sell my tickets. Finally in 2011 a friend got me into Britney again, it was something we both shared she got me to become a Stan but then she moved away :crying1: I investigated about Britney and eventually ended up where I am today.

1999 - the first time I saw the video for BOMT on Much Music (Canada's version of MTV) I made my sister write down Britney's name so I could tell my parents to buy me her CD :crying1: I got the album a while later and was a stan ever since tbh. I have followed Godney through all of ha endeavors and never wavered in my love for her. I started posting on forums just before she left Kevin and shit hit the fan :blackoutsmiley: I'm still a stan today and Britney's music has been such a huge part of my life.

I was 6 (or 7) when BOMT appeared on MTV, and ofc like many others I fell in love instantly. However I was just a fan, someone who enjoyed Britney as an appearance and music, I became a stan when she released Britney album. Slave 4 you completely slayed me, the performance just chopped me into pieces! I admired her so fucking much. And up to this day I consider Britney one of her best albums. It is probably the last album which shows off Britney's vocals in full power. Starting from ITZ , her songs were very low key and not that powerful (although i adore itz blackout and circus). So yeah, I started stanning for her since Britney album :D

aww thats so sweet to kno. i ddint have access to a television back than ;( its so nice to hear what things were like. ive always been a britney fan. one of my friends she could afford to buy all the merchandize and she was actually the one who introduced me to her. it was so awesome. she had such an amazing collection. and my parents were super strict, they thought she was a prostitute and would beat my ass if they knew lol but i officially became a full blown out fan when her overprotected remix video came out i think. i was so young. lol i dont even remember. i remember by the time her greatest hits came out i was already a fan and was familiar with a lot of her songs. but in 2007 thats when i became a stan :lmaolol::toxicwink: i felt so bad for her when i found out she shaved her head. so idk when my obsession began, i always loved her.

I was definitely a fan since I first saw the BOMT video. I thought she was so beautiful and loved her dancing (I was also a dancer back then). I just kept growing with her and wanted to be just like her. By the time I was 13, I was copying her hair styles and color, mannerisms, fashion, everything. I loved everything about her. A stan from day one! Though I don't copy her anymore, haha. :)

It was like 2006 and I was 7, The suggested videos on Youtube and then I saw Stronger by Brit. I clicked on it because I was curious :toxicwink: and Instantaneously fell in love. I played it for 3 years straight and by that times I knew various Britney Songs. I was way more into Miley during time period, but as soon as this video of her deleting her twitter :blackoutsmiley: came out and she talked about Britney I became a mega fan. You could say I became a fan during 2007 which is why I sort of compelled to see why this mega star fell but feel in love at the process of seeing her. I became a mega Stan by Femme Fatale which Is the fist Britney album I bought but now I own all. :Godney: Miley Cyrus I don't even Give a Shit bout anymore :britney-arrow:

I was always obsessed with Britney since the Oops Era. However I didn’t become a real fan of her music until “TTWEâ€. I loved “Piece of Me†and other Videos but just never listened to her music until recently. Now I really Stan for Britney.

I've been a fan since I was 9 years old. I first saw her perform at the World Music Awards where she had 2 performances. First she performed ...Baby One More Time and then at the end of the show she performed The Beat Goes On. I used to have it on VHS. :umomg:

My cousin Daniel, who used to babysit me, gave me a copy of ...Baby One More Time album for my 10th birthday and later that night when we were leaving Peter Piper Pizza my mom gave me the original. My cousin also taught me the Oops!...I Did It Again dance and even did my hair the way she had it in the video. He helped put a collage of Britney photos in my room.

No matter what people say I will still be a fan. People always tell me, "She's crazy" or something of the sort, but I don't care. She gave me an outlet to express myself. Naturally, I'm a shy person (like someone I know of), but I sure don't dance like it. :):fliph::hflip:

in 1999 there was a channel called fox kids where i watch a serie called digimon so in the space beewtween tv shows they used to put BOMT video, and sometimes they put some behind the scenes of crazy and BOMT, so i was slayed by her, but i didnt knew who she was

until OOps i did it again came off and britney was a major known artist in mexico, so i remember one day i was in a restaurant and stronger was playing as a background i didnt knew who she was but i was slayed by that flawless song, then that same day i was changing channel and i put mtv and OMFG there was stronger video and was like epiphany for me cause it was the same girl of the fox kids channel, so i started to watch mtv and at that time it was like a britney channel cause every hour was like 2 or 3 videos of her and tonx of britney's tv specials also they used to trasmit every day the vmas 2000 and 1999 presentation so i was slayed then it came the 2001 im a slave 4 u, i brought britney cassette and since then i was a stan i secretly buy oops and Bomt albums and the rest is history....

She caught my attention with baby one more time but sometimes was the song that made me a fan and some years later she became my obsession with the slave video.

I was a huge fan of the new Mickey Mouse club. I adored having kids my own age sing, dance and do skits. Britney was my fav. And then I was super excited she made a come back into Music for BOMT. I loved the song and of course the Video. I've been a huge fan ever since.

Then April 28, 2002 My Mom passed. I'll never get over losing my sweet Mom. I listened to Britney to get through those sad days. And to this day Britney's music always lifts my mood. I love that about her. She makes me happy.
