How Could Be If Britney Marked The End Of Generic Edm?

I mean think about it. This shitty generic cheap EDM has to end some time. Just like every other music trend ended so will this one. But how cool would it be if Britney was the one to put the stop to this shitty trend? How amazing would it be if Britney came out with something new, fresh and amazing. And other stars following her new trend. She did this with Blackout , I wish she did it now too :crying1: She'd be the trend setter again :crying3: Please BRITNEY PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :crying1::crying2::crying3::crying4: Slay us just ONE MORE TIME!!!!!!! :crying2:

I can't at people expectecting this amazing, new, innovative album.

It's going to be a Femme Fatale 2.0 in the best case scenario which honestly I wouldn't mind.

EDM sells so the label is going to want that.

I wish she would.

Something about dance/edm transitioning into mainstream pop always bothered me. Because there are really good dance music artists out there that get ignored.

It was fun at first before every song started to sound alike, but it's gotten old.

Britney needs to do whats she does best and bring something new to pop. :mhm:

I agree. I don't think after the failure of BJ, her team would like her to make something risky and innovative.

It would be heaven omg !

i'm so sick of EDM, if Britney could do something new and make the other basic popstar following her steps, that would be cool. But it will never happen lol.

I just hope they will stay stuck with the poprock idea. FF didn't sell well with edm, BJ was even worse still with EDM, they need to stop or once again it will just flop and even harder because everyone is sick of it now. But more than sales, i want quality this time, i'm tired of that EDM shit, it could even flop i don't care as long as it's a really good new and fresh album. And i prefer to have a fresh sound even if it flops, rather than generic shit that will flop anyway :orangu:

Let's not forget FF was innovative too eventhough fans don't like to give it as much credit as it deserves - HIAM definitely introduced dubstep into mainstream music. Even Skrillex acknowledged it. :)

So if the next album is going to be similar to FF in that way, I wouldn't mind.

Exactly, I love FF tbh, I have 5 copies :gloria:

I would be more than happy with a FF 2.0 with slightly less autotune. It had great production, catchy songs, good music videos, hits.

Am I seeing another FF fan? :crying2:

I love it too, one of my favorite Britney albums! :crying1: And I own a standard and Deluxe version.

FF was praised by critics a lot and I love the fact that it had a lot of catchy songs but also a lot of great (single-worthy) uptempos (Inside Out, TTYH, HATLM). So I agree, an album similar to FF with less autotune would be great! :crying4:

Britney said she's going back to her roots, so this might mean we're getting that good ol' Pop we were used to when she started :crying1: I hope it's like that, i really do and i have faith in Godney :Godney:

I have 4 deluxe versions (cardboard one) and then one standard jewel case :)

Britney being a trendsetter, there's nothing I'd love more. Britney is not a follower, she should take the lead and be innovative. She did it in the past and she should do it again.

And honestly, I do like me some EDM. Yes, it's generic, everyone does it. But when it's done well it's reeaaaaly good. But it's time for Britney to do something different.

FF was EDM but it was a good quality one, its Britney Jean thats the cheapest EDM on the market, its basic, its cheap and its butchered. Lame, cheap EDM :crying1: i hope she does something new, who knows she might surprise us :tbh:

The question is: how?

Anyway, she wanted to make an urban album in 2008, they scrapped it (or maybe she wasn't happy with the final result) . She wanted to make an urban/r&b album in 2010, it was scrapped. She wanted to make an urban album in 2013. The came Britney Jean. Now she wants to make an "arsty-farsty" album. Are we sure the album is not going to be scrapped and changed into the same EDM shit? I think so.

If she really can get finally an urban/r&b/indie/pop-rock album it will be definitely very sucessful, like Blackout. She needs to prove different things, and it will be huge. Will she? I doubt, tbh. Not for now. She can change the pop music, only if she gets involved. Really involved, not like this Britney Jean shit.

Pretty easy. Hire a few producers, tell them your idea, make them help you with it , you will have to pay them either way :) Thats the question, how to make Britney take control of her own work? :sosad:

It would be nice of her to do something fresh, Bruno mars-ish BUT It's not like I cry about it, or scream "pleaaaaase".. EDM is okay music, but on the other side, "Shake it off" only became a hit because there was a gap in the market for a-listers and people are tired of EDM. Here in my country we have a lot of music like Shake it off but that is not worldwide,

Bitch Britney brought it into the generic Pop world and you know that.

There are a lot of songs with EDM since 2009-2010. Maybe you talk about dubstep, but Britney did not brought EDM as a whole (which is the subject of this topic, and not dubstep especially) into mainstream music, absolutely not.

Her team would be idiotic to pursue another dance album. Look at the BB top 10; except for 2009-2010 sounding relic Animals from the biggest sellouts in recent history, Maroon 5,, ALL of them have a purer pop/retro sound (Uptown Funk, the 2 Meghan Trainor songs, Blank Space, Take Me to Church, Ed's new single, and Sam Smith).

Britters can for sure put a nail in the EDM coffin, considering she started electro pop for women with BO. What she'd replace it with is up in the air, as it should be, considering that if its to be new, it can't just be a rehash of current trends and shit.

Ugh I could argue for hours on this :embarrassed:
