Just wait till the album gets here , I'm sorry I just hate when ppl start assumin things when things haven't even happened yet. All of this just because 1 album flopped , like really ? I get really irritated because ppl like to follow the charts instead of the music . If a song goes #1 y'all be like "omg I love this song " & if it flops y'all be like "worst era ever" . Like a song could be total shit , but u guys would like it just because it's #1.. It makes no sense . Like LBR if BJ went #1 y'all would be stanning for it,

You and i seem to share the almost the same views :hug: Your right, some fans miss the bragging rights of #1's that they miss the point of the music and that if it inspires and touches your soul, that's a hit song, not what some chart says.

Your not, trust me! and i got cjm_90's post, they are telling a fact in which alot fans do care about the sales and charts over the music. You don't, im sure, but there are fan's who's post and comments show that they do. But, believe me, your lucky cause you get to enjoy the power of her music!

I am going to listen to the music and make my own judgments. Promo and GP reaction aside, that's what I care about. I am not expecting any performances, so if we get some I will have the chance to be pleasantly surprised.

Only if I see/hear obvious lack of effort will I even bother wasting my energy on becoming further disappointed.

As always, there will be fans who are unhappy for whatever reason (shallow or justified) and those who are going to praise the era no matter what. :yawn:

I know :crying3: I wish they would do like us, to just enjoy the music and care a little, just a little less about the sales. Some artists' albums flop and they're gone forever, but Britney is still with us, shining in Vegas and 'bout to come out with a new album. They should appreciate that and the new music she's 'bout to bring and slay us with instead of, like, preparing their shields and swords to attack her and her management crew! You know what i mean? I don't know if this i'm saying really makes sense because i tend to write the first thing i'm thinking atm :trollney: But i'm one very passionate person about music and i want it to be respected. Imagine how much time and money and effort and strength and sweat takes for Britney and producers and writers and mixers... A song, an album is not just a sale, it's not just a number one spot in music charts and stuff... a song has a meaning behind it, an album has a concept behind everything. Ppl should appreciate that more :crying1:

I couldn't agree more, music is suppose to touch your soul the and a song is suppose to reflect who we are as ppl. If they care about sales, it's because of bragging rights and if thats the case, they miss the point of being a music fan. Your a fan of an artist because their music touched you in an unexplainable way. Britney Jean has songs that have inspired me, thats the point of music!

BOMT = :yawn:

BJ= mediocre asf

Even tho BOMT is my fav album, i will agree with you that people can't let Britney Jean over throw her entire career as officially being a hasbeen. They forget Femme Fatale was right before BJ and it was a hit. Six number ones and a Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame archived album is not erased bc one album didn't do well

exactly femme fatale was flawless <3

I'm really not expecting anything bigger or better than Britney Jean in terms of promotion. I'm sure she'll do a couple of radio interviews that will last a minute or two, and where she'll only talk about her current boyfriend and the sleeping habits she has with her kids. :yaknow:

We always talk about the fans and how they turned their back to Britney Jean or how Britney refused to promote the album with live performances, but what hurts me the most is how her team or the record label let the album flop just because it didn't sell well the first weeks. I mean, she obviously wanted Alien and Passenger to become singles, and it was the record label who didn't support the album anymore. Or maybe it was Britney, who knows.

It's like an endless cycle: Britney didn't promote properly in the first place, the album didn't sell well, the fans then thought it was a bad album, and apparently Britney, her team and the label stopped supporting and caring about the album because of the low sales, but it flopped because they didn't give a fuck since the beginning.

I guess the success of the next era will depend on how good the beginning results. But, I think it's very important that this time, no matter how good or how bad the beginning is, the record label, Britney, and especially the fans shouldn't stop supporting the album. I'll never understand why the record label always stops releasing singles after the first one that doesn't go that good. My logic would say that if they release a single that's not that succesful they should try right away with at least a new one to fix things up, before they give up on the whole album. But I guess I just don't know how the industry works...

So, answering your question, what are we gonna do? I don't know about the rest, but I'll keep enjoying Britney's music and will always look for what she's up to. I've said this before, if I survived as a fan the Blackout era, nothing will stop my idolatry for Britney Spears now. :mahhaw: And another thing I've always said too, is that we shouldn't expect anything, so if we happen to receive at least something, it will be well received for all of us :mhm:

honestly i think it's gona b at least slightly better than bj. i dont expect a lot of promo (thats the thing never expect too much. if u have high expectations, u will b let down). but if it doesnt go that way, i wont mind becuase to me, britney's music is always number 1. i dont care for success on the charts. she has already done all that, she's proven she is capable of it, i dont doubt her. so i dont see an absolutely incredible album but i think we wont get too disssapointed

i agree except with the money part, Britney in your opinion may kiss her singing career goodbye but she will always have money and continue to make it. Also, Britney could succeed in other area's besides music. Macy Gray is an example of a one hit wonder who turned her already gone music career into a great acting career, with major award nominations under her belt. But as a fan, what would YOU do if this album doesn't go the way you think it should?

Idk tbh, I would probably remain a fan but she would lose me as a stan if she pulled another bullshit like with bj,she d just prove she doesnt care much,of us or her career. But ye idk im not sure

I never pay attention to the success of her songs (Well, obviously I get really happy if she scores a new number one) but I just want her to make music that I can enjoy :)

yeah i am used to not having like the majority of people not even kno about her in the past few years and her vids weren't super popular. it actually felt kind of nice in a way.

It's like Britney is an underground and unknown musician that nobody knows about because she's too good to be on the mainstream radio :letsgetcrayzay:

I think we need to accept the fact that Britney has other priorities that take more of her attention than promo. She knows she will sell with or without it. I hope that the fans are fan enough to realize we no longer have 2001ney and support her anyway. I think we'll get MORE promo than we're used to for B9, but it will be no where close to what we've been spoiled with in the early 2000's.

Amen!! Im not a fan of BJ but i agree with you.. Her team gave up and that wasn't a good idea..they could have released Perfume Director's Cut.. The controversy of "killer britney" could have gotten media attention.. And definetly that album needed a third single.

I was really excited about B9 when she said she wanted something different, to work with unknown producers and "artsy farsy" but im not going to get my hopes up because after the Iggy collab and the recent rumours this album seems something rushed and generic, a move from her team only for the charts. So i rather think we are going to get EDM crap again and hopefully I'll be pleasently surprised.

Ok, i get your point. What some fans are doing, not you in particular, is using BJ against britney for the last seven years since the breakdown. We have had era's that have done extremely well, it's just about her performing style that some fans are getting worked up about. I agree, blackout was a rough time and you stuck with her thru that, which some fans didn't do.

well what is being a fan liking an artist enough that you are willing to spend money on their cds, concerts and any product the artist endorses.so if things don't go to plan in that if she uses someone else's voice on her album I'll just not buy the cd the same like i did for britney jean.and i decided since i went to femme fatale that it was my last concert of hers i go to see till she maybe sings one song live again. the reason being i don't want to go by myself and the people who are not britney fans who i have to plead to come said they are not paying to go see her since doesn't even sing one song live. i think it was the bad weather that made them extra cross it was torrential rain all day long when we were walking around. there was such traffic as a result so we had to walk to get there or be late. so we were soaked threw to our under ware hair dripping wet through the whole concert couldn't even see her dancing. then had to make the 3 hour journey home in bad driving conditions and some of our phones that were in our bags were permanently broken from the rain soaking threw. then on the news we heard that in the little fun fare someone put on beside the show some poor woman who was at the show died on one of the rides.it was a depressing experience.

I really don't know what to do, I love Britney and I don't think my love for her will ever stop, but I'm tired that every era gets worst and worst, I just can't handle it anymore! I know that there won't be any performance on award shows or tv specials, but even though I know, every time it doesn't happen I feel let down. :crying1:

im sure we'll get a tv special, we have gotten one with every release since circus
