"britney's Music Got Worse After Blackout"

I see you have no knowledge what does "basic music" mean... :blackoutsmiley:

Which Circus tracks sound VERY basic? Womanizer, Amnesia and Trouble? You're right, but the rest is not basic AT ALL. Maybe a couple songs (Shattered Glass, L&L, Quicksand) are unfinished but still, they're something new, fresh and most of Britney base loved them.

If you did not like this album it doesn't make it right away basic, because the only generic albums in Britney's discography are Femme Fatale and Britney Jean and it's a FACT. Of course, I like FF because the songs are catchy, but it's nothing fresh, we had a chance to hear very similar music on the radio since 2009. Also the vocals are autotuned to death which make me really sad. I guess Britney wasn't happy making this record and somehow I'm not that happy with the final result as well. Britney Jean was 100% worse than FF, so I'm not even gonna comment, but please don't compare this mess with Circus where Britney sang almost every verse and Myah was used only to sing a line in one song or maybe a few backing vocals.

I've never heard songs like Blur, Mannequin, Phonography, If U Seek Amy, Unusual You or even hated by everyone Mmm Papi anywhere. They'revery special and I'm glad Britney team decided to release them. I really hate when people say "you like this album only because her comeback"... comeback to what? to being a succesfull singer? because it's not like she had a break from music, she released Blackout almost less than a year before the release of Circus.

Personally I think all of her albums are great expect for Britney Jean (although some people think it's great and I'm really happy they liked it because I wish my opinion was the same but I won't low my standards for Britney) and saying that her music has gotten worse after blackout is a bullshit...

You betta stan for Circus, darling! :kisskiss:

I did not want to comment, since I "left" universe for a while (Unfortunately, some of friends from my country created account on here the day I was leaving and they stopped me, so I was talking with them those couple days and somehow I'm still here, nevermind :orangu:), but today I opened this thread and when I read this post my Circustard person couldn't handle it at all :gloria: I mean, I accept the fact that some people don't like Circus and find it boring, but saying it's very basic and as good as BJ makes me feel angry :orangu:

Circustards unite. :crying1::gloria:

I'm glad you're still here, tbh. :ooyeah:

you obviously don't have a clue what you're talking about. how old are you anyways...?! i'm 25 and basically experienced what i'm talking about. with that sig you're probably not even 18 yet which is why you don't know shit about pop music or music in general.

BOMT and oops weren't generic AT ALL. they didn't succeed based on someone else's previous success. britney was the FIRST and only white female solo singer around that age to not only mix pop music and soul together but also take risks as far as a sexual image at age 17 is concerned. unlike the spice girls for example, britney's popularity boosted among both genders, all skincolors and definitely listeners of all ages.

ummm why are you being so rude?? lol "judging by my sig" people at your age listen to all of the people in my sig as well. Let alone Britney, alexandra stan, and hyuna are all sex icons. Also I don't stan for everyone in my sig I just like certain songs from them so I just threw them in there. I also don't love music from this generation the best music was 2007 and under in my opinion though I don't really listen to 90s music and not for any particular reason. If you were to judge me off of my sig you'd be judging a book by it's cover I actually love rock, pop, punk rock, drum n bass, glitch hop, chillstep, dubstep, indie, classical and a lot more. Nowadays I mostly just listen to artists online.

Saying I don't know shit about music because I criticize a Britney album???!? I listen to music from ALL over the world I do know about music. I still have a lot to learn about music also, but I never claimed to have more knowledge than anyone else.

It's funny how people get so mad when I talk about bomt but barely anybody gets angry when someone disses FF :frenchy:

I said before I was over-exaggerating on how generic it was, I like OIDIA better than BOMT. But, bomt is just so boring to me. I know britney was the first young female in the states to do that and take those risks, I didn't say her image was generic. I just don't like the bomt album in full is that a sin? :zoomzoom: every time of music had it's own sound.

Who says that??? Her performances may have gotten worse but her music has IMPROVED!!! BIG TIME!!!

Her albums have no fillers and almost all of the songs are potential singles!!!

Yeah, I agree with this. Post-breakdown her music has been better it's just her abilities as a performer is the problem now when that wasn't the case during her prime. For example, "Oops" isn't a great song and sounds really dated, even then, but she performed the hell out of it making it good. BOMT, "Toxic," and "Slave" are undeniable gems but I think all her albums have been rather solid (excluding Britney Jean) the last few+ years.

Yes the albums were kinda generic for their time but they weren't bad albums :mhm: though I agree Circus, FF >>>>>

my dad always confused BOMT and OIDIA and I keep trying to explain but he still doesn't get it :crying2:

well on a sidenote when we went to POM and the show ended he asked me why didn't she perform the song that made her famous :omg1::xf11::nonotatall::ahhhhhh::uhwtf: then I said that was the song where she had the black suit after she was an angel and He was like :umomg: And I went :ohno::gloria:

I've always hated the 2nd verse for "Oops!," the bridge is the chorus minus a few words, and the production overall on that song is very cheap. It's the Jan Brady to BOMT's Marcia. I love Max Martin and love all of Britney's performances (namely the '00 VMA striptease of it), the music video and the instant classic lines it spawned ("Oops She Did it Again"/"I'm not that innocent") but the song is pretty underwhelming.

Well. .. I think people here are mixing things. Britney's music is pop. Pop music is not very different, sounds tunes and beats are quite similar. Britney's pop music is part of this. She has some songs that are trendsetters but all of her songs are pretty good pop songs. Britney has always been a pack. She becamea reference not only for her music but also because of her performances, style and herself she was the trendsetter more than her songs. Blackout was the only album musically different and that made it that good bit as a pop album, circus is great. Femme fatale included some innovations but it sounds like the music of that time so they do her previous albums. Britney is great pop, she's always been great pop. Pop industry is not only about music and that made britney ál add huge add she was. None of her albums are bad albums we may don't like some of them or some of the songs but that is different.

I love Circus and Femme fatale! I wouldn't say that her music has gotten worse :)

Although BJ is not my favorite :pieceofwhat: But it's mostly the producing or whatever it's called, not the songs

I totally agree :pieceofwhat: Britney Jean is pants because will.i.am produced it. If it wasn't for his production the album would have been a lot better. I hope album 9 will slay.
