Do Think Fans Don't Know What Britneys Currant Voice Sounds Like

do you think maybe that is the reason i for one and other fans as well thought britney didn't sing some of britney jean. maybe we don't know what her current real voice sounds like cos we have really when you think about it have only heard her sing maybe one or two songs live in the last ten years. so maybe her voice and pronunciation has changed over the years maybe she actually does have capability to sing passenger. what most are going off in judging her vocal capability is live vocals from the opps tour when she was dancing allot, not a girl and every time. but we don't know cos singing live is different from recorded albums that have been edited with different producers telling her to sing songs a certain way.

:smokeney: Cigarettes without a doubt. I hate the fact that she's still smoking. She should have quitted years ago :crying1:

I am sure her voice has changed and we may never hear her sound like she did years ago. But songs like Let Go and Everyday and Blur prove that she does still have it, even if not completely.

As mentioned above, I'm certain not smoking would help her have better sound and stamina. Oh and "continuing" her vocal lessons. Being a singer and dancer, she needs to work on her craft.

isn't ooh la la mostly autotuned?

What does that have to do with anything? listen to Ooh La La and then listen to part of body ache. it sounds like a totally different person. You can tell Ooh La la is Britney even with the "autotune", and body aches sounds very strange for most of the song. Hell, listen to passengers verses and then the chorus. Something is off.

This tbh, even with autotune or vocoder effect like on It should be easy, you can recognize it's Britney's voice, but parts on Passenger and Body Ache, autotune or not it just doesn't sound like her, and she's been autotuned for years now so there is no reason that suddenly it would sound different. It's just not her, end of story.

Couldn't agree more. I don't know who it is, I don't know if it's Mayah or someone else. Regardless, it never should have ever happened, and I pray it doesn't happen again. It is a ridiculous thing that we have to worry about.

Not sure what she sounds like after eating currants... We should ask her and see

Maybe it is difficult singing passenger after eating many currants.. :bomt:

I love this reply. Best reply of the night.

And honestly these debates about Britney and her singing are getting so reductive. People are literally saying the same thing they've been saying in 100 other threads, it's almost like people are just copying and pasting their responses from other treads into new ones. Why keep talking about the same old thing? I mean we get it. Move on already.

Her voice definately has changed over the years for sure. Smoking is a fact for sure. Even if she thinks her voice isn't great live she should give it a shot and sing live, people are paying millions to see her live, that won't change even if she sings crappy. Just look at Madonna, her live perofmances vocally wise aren't that good, but her tours are always sold-out.

I can't figure out what her voice sounds like nowadays. Of course she's getting progressively worse at singing (smoking, lack of training, wrong use of the voice), but if you listen to the unedited Passenger vocals (the one used in that fanmade acoustic version) she sounds decent, while listening to the official unedited vocals on Alien (the ones taken from the multi-tracks) she sounds like a dying cat. During Perfume she sounds decent in the low register while every higher note during the chorus is strongly edited.

I think she wouldn't sound as bad as the majority of the fanbase is thinking (me included) if she sang live, but even her speaking voice sounds damaged and too raspy sometimes.

She has to quit sigarettes and starts serious vocal training, she has such a pleasant voiceprint, a good falsetto and a decent low register.... i hope she trains, starts using a good technique and starts recording songs à la perfume vocally speaking

Could not agree more - surely there are better things to talk about - sick to death of these threads tbh :smokeney:

Nah that excuse is bad, christina is a smoker, adele is a smoker, even beyonce smokes, not to mention Rihanna, they are all powerful vocals, cigarettes dont really ruin your voice if you practice it properly. Not training your voice ruins it all, and lets face it, I doubt Britney trained her voice since circus :sosad:

i think its a combo of age and bad producing

yes i think her voice has changed but with britney jean it was badly produced from start to finish

now im not saying all the songs were bad but their not great either hopefully she has better producer for album 9 NO WILL.I.AM

I don't know 'bout Adele because i don't usually listen to her, but Christina has a hard time hitting the high notes she used to hit (adding the fact that she strains a lot), same with Beyoncé (she does deliver sometimes tho) and Rihanna also does weed and sings most of her songs in lower key now. So, yes. Alcohol and cigarettes DO destroy your vocal chords slowly. I know this for fact as my former singing teacher smokes too and her voice is crappy as hell. I don't deny those you mention have powerful voices, but... you know... And yeah, singers should always train their voices if they wanna improve themselves :)
