YEAH2012 Posted January 12, 2015 #1 Report Posted January 12, 2015 Someone has probably already worked this out long ago, so sorry if it's AP, but I've just put it together and it's quite exciting!!! We all know the songs that were being considered for the Piece Of Me show thanks to the IABJ special, but I finally decided to pause and work out what the setlist order was at the time of the docco. According to IABJ, at the time it was: Work Bitch Womanizer 3 Perfume ...Baby One More Time Oops!... I Did It Again Me Against the Music Gimme More Break the Ice Piece of Me Hot As Ice Scream & SHout Boys Get Naked (I Got a Plan) I'm a Slave 4 U Freakshow Do Somethin' Circus If U Seek Amy I Wanna Go Lucky Toxic Stronger (You Drive Me) Crazy Till the World Ends The thing I found really interesting was that Perfume was originally where Everytime ended up going! Explains why in IABJ they say that the podiums with the statue men were for the Perfume performance. Interesting to picture that performance being for Perfume! They were obviously expecting it to be a big hit, and moved it when it ended up flopping... I wonder if Hot As Ice was meant to be part of the GM / BTI / POM section or the S&S / Boys section. Can imagine it would have been HOT in the neon lights! 1

Everytime is good, but I think it's a sad song, and it doesn't fit the Angelney theme. In the other hand, I've always thought Perfume deserved something, um, prettier? than just being next to Boys. At least they should keep the neon lights and make some effects with it. And I like the Do Somethin' performance, but I wish If U Seek Amy stayed in the setlist too Also, during the rehearsal, wasn't Alien next to Oops? For some reason I think it fits with the Oops number, maybe because of the music video, and being in outer space and stuff, but I don't know. Even though Alien is a new song, I find something "classic Britney" in that song. And finally, something that has broken my heart since the IABJ documentary, is that songs like Can't Make You Love Me, Heaven on Earth or Inside Out were considered for the show. Oh, and I wonder where was Britney planning to put Passenger on the show

I think it was similar as how Circus was snubbed from the FFT. But I agree, if this was supposed to be a greatest hits tour, HIAM should have been at least considered.

If I had to replace it with something I think Perfume would be a good choice (as much as I love it!). Great track, but for a greatest hits tour HIAM would be a much better choice, would go great before S&S/Boys! I understand Brit wanting to squeeze some of her new tracks in though. Would be interesting to see how a Britney Jean tour would have turned out 1

And maybe add other ballads, like DLMBTLTK, which is not one of my favorite songs but I know Britney loves it. The whole neon segment really needs to be fixed. It doesn't make any sense they put on the whole club vibe with S&S/Boys and the black light, just to stop it all of a sudden and slow things down with Perfume?? They should take advantage of that resource that is the neon lights, and do at least 3 dance songs with that theme. HIAM would be perfect in there, and maybe some BJ track as I say. Even Perfume, if she wants it at the end, but if they kept the black light it would be so magical and special. Or maybe if she actually performed her part of S&S it wouldn't feel so empty

I should update the OP with the rest of the songs that were being considered though...

I cant see it being performed in the FFT.

"If U Seek Amy" needs to replace "Freakshow." It still fits the performance and she can still bring an audience member on stage still. "Hold It Against Me" should replace "Boys," since we all know how desperately she needs to retire that song! "Overprotected" can replace "Do Somethin'" "Born To Make You Happy" can go after "Perfume" or "Lucky" along with a "thank you to my fans for always sticking by me" speech.
