I wish Brit won't sign new two years if she already hadn't
Guest Nata Posted January 15, 2015 #2 Report Posted January 15, 2015 IF you can not make new hits, and you want to keep the villa and the current way of life, you agree to a do concerts in some of the glamorous casinos of Las Vegas. - quote from Croatian news website in article about Mariah's residency. I think Brit did all of this too young, i mean it's for the entertainers who are retiring
Britney M. Carey Posted January 15, 2015 #3 Report Posted January 15, 2015 Who cares about their salaries? Those quantities of money each person earns is already extremely huge! 1
toxicxxkat Posted January 15, 2015 #4 Report Posted January 15, 2015 You have to think though when Britney started she had/has hits that are still relatively fresh and still makes them, and attracts all the younger audience that goes to Vegas. I can't even tell you a Mariah song that I know of that she's released since what, 2007? The purpose behind their residencies are completely different and Mariah won't attract as much of an audience as Britney imo. Britney makes Vegas a place you want to go to to see her, whereas for Mariah she'll be someone who happens to be in Vegas that you can see while you went on a vacation. And she's a diva, it's not surprising that she's demanding a large amount of money and quite frankly I think after a while it'll fade and she'll have to accept a lower salary, but we'll see. That and Britney still probably will make more money all together with her perfume, lingerie, etc. It's not like she wants or needs as much as Mariah in Vegas to make a lot of money.
samerre Posted January 15, 2015 #7 Report Posted January 15, 2015 I would like to see Mariah performing in Vegas, also I think it can be good for britney if she accepts the battle against Mariah, just assume it. Mariah is going to perform in caesars and she has one of the best voice of this world, so this means that AXIS has to do something to attract the same amount of people, so this probably will mean two options: New changes in POM or Britney moving away.... let's wait and see what will happen
Godney Jeansus Posted January 15, 2015 #8 Report Posted January 15, 2015 oh so Vegas is a thing now. Britney's inpact YAAAAASSS
BlackoutEgo Posted January 15, 2015 #9 Report Posted January 15, 2015 Don't make this into a competition , if Mariah gets paid more than Britney that's fine . #1 Mariah has a way bigger venue than Britney & #2 Mariah has been around longer than Britney So it makes sence if she makes jus a bit more , & if she makes the same as Britney that's fine as well. JLO is probably a little pressed tbh because they were trying to give her a little over $300,000 and she wasn't having it because Britney & Celine made way more but the thing is JLO isn't even iconic tbh. As for Britney Doing another 2 years, I wasn't ok with it at first but I am now cuz she's just doing it so she can spend more time with her kids since they're growing fast, & also Britney is a trendsetter she's making ppl follow her ,JLO now Mariah ,don't forget lady gaga had a residency in New York . Residencies are starting to be a thing now 2
heather Posted January 15, 2015 #10 Report Posted January 15, 2015 Vegas has been wonderful for Britney and it's something she clearly wants to do. I don't understand selfish fans who don't want to see Britney happy and enjoying herself 1
BlackoutEgo Posted January 15, 2015 #11 Report Posted January 15, 2015 Vegas has been wonderful for Britney and it's something she clearly wants to do. I don't understand selfish fans who don't want to see Britney happy and enjoying herself She already said touring is very tiring , it's just that some fans don't get it (or they pretend she didn't say that) lol , I'm good with whatever Britney does tbh. As long as she changes the show around from time to time to keep it fresh and makes new music then I'm good cuz that's all I need 1

I think Brit did all of this too young, i mean it's for the entertainers who are retiring . Mariah doesn't need to do anything to keep up with the way of life so don't get it twisted! She will never have to worry about money. Oh and Vegas is no longer a place where you go to retire. Britney was a trend setter by doing this and now artists who never would have considered Vegas want to do it now

People don't have to like Mariah but if there is anyone who deserves a big paycheck it's her. She's a legend, with a huge roster of hits which almost all she has written. Her voice is like no other even on her bad days. She earned her big pay day and people need to respect that. Plus she's amazing to her fans. I don't see nothing wrong with being a part of the Britney Army and Lambily

So I wouldn't be surprised, & I'm sure even Britney & Jamie Lynn will be at one of her shows , they already showed there admiration for her . If Mariah & Britney have love for each other then the fans should as well
PrinceAli89 Posted January 16, 2015 #15 Report Posted January 16, 2015 I'm actually really excited Mariah announced a residency. She's one of my favorite artists, besides Britney of course. Anyway, I think it's a great move for her to make at this stage in her career. She's getting older and she's not gonna have the big hits like she used to in her prime. She's still got an amazing voice, despite her recent lackluster performances, so I'm sure she'll be a big hit for Caesar's Palace. I agree that it may be a little healthy completion for Britney/Planet Hollywood to compete with, even though they are both completely different performers. Now I definitely want to plan a trip to Vegas to see both of my favorite divas in their shows there. IF you can not make new hits, and you want to keep the villa and the current way of life, you agree to a do concerts in some of the glamorous casinos of Las Vegas. - quote from Croatian news website in article about Mariah's residency. I think Brit did all of this too young, i mean it's for the entertainers who are retiring I disagree, I feel like Britney turned the Vegas Residency into something that had never been done before. She's still the only current artist playing in Vegas that is still relevant today. Sure, we can all agree that Britney is past her peak/prime but I wouldn't consider her over, she's still very much relevant in Pop music.
