The insiders aren't Britney. Even GM never mentioned that it would be a single. A video implies single and no one official said it was a single. I'm sure there was talks but we only have ourselves to blame for hyping the song. Britney being on GM's album gets a little press even with it not being a single.

Now if we are talking Britney's first single, than yes it will need an intetesting video and a press junction. Oh and a radio deal.

I don't get your point. Now there is a contract? If there is a now preventing it, it must be about timing interfering with Brit's up coming era. Otherwise there is no now since Brit has been in Vegas for over a year and re upped with RCA last summer. That now would be an always in the history of this featuring.

@@tarotx I meant there are contracts according to Moroder that prevent her from shooting a video period. I don't trust word from Britney's camp because everything they say is usually the complete opposite of what actually happens (e.g. more "live" singing in Vegas, her "most personal" album yet). So yeah I'm more inclined to believe insiders on a pop music forum that have been correct about everything else regrading this project then her team. GM provided us with some insight we never saw coming, for some bizarre contractual reasons (likely tied to her Vegas deal) she can't shoot a music video for her track. It's bad enough she can't perform outside of PH, but now this?

Giorgio Moroder revealed to officalcharts.com that the song Britney had recorded for him is not done yet. He said:

“With Britney, I still have to work with her," he told Official Charts. We started with the main part [of the song] but I’ve added a bridge to it, so as soon as she’s free we have to finish that.

"She’s difficult to get in contact with! One thing I noticed is that the singers themselves are so involved these days. One of the problems with working with Britney is that now she’s so busy - for example she's in Vegas - and she has contracts that say she can’t do certain things. She cannot do a video because of I don’t know exactly what. It’s different from the way I used to work."

Asked how the collaboration came about, he explained: “I spoke to her on the phone. She called me and told me she wanted to do the song – it was her idea and she wanted to do it together in the studio, but unfortunately I was in Europe.

"I heard the track and I only changed a little bit – she did a good job with it actually. I hope she finds the time to do the little bridge – it’s just eight bars. I’m going to meet her soon and tell her!"

OMG at this thread, what kind of emotional drama.

Anyway, regarding the song, glad to hear an update and I hope Britney finishes it soon. As far as the shooting the video is concerned, who knows. Maybe she's not shooting a video yet, but will later when she has more time? Or maybe the song ins't getting the "full single treatment?" I don't really care, just excited about new music in general. Let's just wait and see what happens before jumping to conclusions guys.

People get way too involved with her when it comes to things like this. It's not even finished yet. Chill. It's either the contract in Vegas or something else and she's obviously busy prepping for something so it's not finished yet and there may not be a video for this track. We will get new music at some point and she will do a video for her new material like she always does so relax.

I have been telling y'all all along that Britney was confined to her Contract and wasn't being lazy. I took Media Law at University as well as Contract Law and I know how these things work. Britney's C-Ship doesn't help either. Because by Law Britney can't sign a Contract. She is at everyone's whims.

I don't think anyone is going to be calling her lazy after someone who is working with her stated her contract wouldn't permit her to shoot a video.

I think Britney is going to do video's for album 9, i think PH feels like GM album sales and single sales won't bring THEM any money. Britney's own solo album is something that will bring them money because it's her songs and will bring publicity to PH. They own Britney right now and they aren't going to allow her to make anyone but them money performing wise. Recording music is different because it doesn't have to be a single.

I doubt there really is anything stopping her from doing a video for the song, it just doesn't make any sense. They're probably just using it as an excuse because she doesn't want to.

With that said, if she is really under such a tight contract with PH then it could even be a reason why the Perfume video was so heavily edited because they don't want any sort of negative publicity.

It's probably not even PH but RCA. Maybe they don't want her to promote something else (like shooting a video) while she will release her own things very soon, they don't want this to interfere with her work so she has a contract that say she can't do it, that's it, especially since it was renewed so maybe they changed a few things in it, like this. And it kinda makes sense in a way because she struggles to sell her own music, doing a music video for someone else could make the situation worse. But obviously she will have videos for her things stop the dramas. And anyway it was never confirmed as a single, the song isn't even finished, i mean at this point it could even be rejected if she has no time to finish it, hence why she never mentioned it.
