Why Does She Look So Fierce In Work Bitch Mv But So Insecure On Stage During Pom?

Like seriously, in the WB MV, she looks fierce as fuck, slaying those dance moves as if shes slaveney all over again, her facial expressions are sexy, fierce, and completely unforced but quite natural, in the mv we get a glimpse of toxicney. However on stage during POM, she does look happy, and she does seem to dance far better than during fft, but she looks insecure as hell, she's counting steps, and she often seems a bit uncomfortable. So whats the problem? How can she be so flawless and fierce in the music videos, and a complete opposite on stage?

Because she's surrounded by ppl she knows an she feels like she can be herself around them and also because they are used to her .. For POM she has major anxiety and is not really herself , don't get me wrong she has some fierce moments and is on fire .. If u notice by her Instagram Britney is mostly herself around her family, friends ,& loved ones but she's not like that w/ ppl in general

I've always wanted to talk about this, but I didn't want to make a thread just for this :P Anyway, I've always thought the same. And I think there's a reason: when she's rehearsing, for example, they have mirrors. She's looking at herself, she's seeing her face, her body, and it's like when you're in the mirror, you kinda flirt with yourself, you know? :thatsfunny:

In a music video, the key is that she's performing for the camera. For most of us would be awkward to be singing and dancing for the camera, but she's spent all of her life doing so. She's used to making faces and being sexy, and fierce, and everything, when she has the camera in front of her. But onstage, she's just watching all the people, and she doesn't have a screen where she could look at herself, or a camera to flirt with or a mirror. So she's not aware of her facial expressions, she's just watching all the cellphones, which I think don't count as a camera, and especially in Vegas, being a smaller audience, and they always look like they're just sitting there, that maybe a little bit awkward for her, because it's not what she's used to. And I guess she doesn't watch any videos, so she can't check how does she look while performing. :yaknow: I bet that with just one video from Vegas that she could watch, with a close up, she would be aware of her face from now on.

While your explanation makes sense, I have to wonder what exactly she was looking at during every tour between 1999 and 2004. A tour's arena is a different setting, but she was staring at an audience back then too. So I'll blame the anxiety she appears to have nowadays.

Yeah, the anxiety, but also they were bigger arenas, like, stadiums, and they had screens, she knew they were filming her, that they were making close-ups. For what I understand, in Vegas there's no such a screen where the audience in the back can see her close-ups.

Even till Femme Fatale Tour, she still put more emphasis in her gestures. Now, I think only during Freakshow is when she makes more expressions, when she kind of becomes this character. But the rest of the show, she's just like, a straight face, or she smiles at the audience but when it doesn't have anything to do with the song, or she looks to the ground like counting the steps and blinks a lot.

Yeah, I agree the anxiety is a big factor, but I think if she knew there is a camera, or if she had a screen at the background (but I know it would be weird in the theater) or some kind of small screen where she's looking at herself, she would become this character she used to be everytime she performed in the past. Her eyes are the most important when it comes to facial expressions. :mahhaw: She needs to raise her eyebrows, narrow her eyes, make sexy looks hahaha, everything that she used to do in the past.

In the music video she's being fierce, as you say, at the parts where she does NOT dance and at go-call-the-police part. As for the live performances, she's fine, she's usually into the song and has given us some awesome moments and I hope her team and PH recorded them for the DVD. When Britney isn't doing heavy dancing, she's making her appearance on stage(or MV) pretty entertaining and enjoyable to watch. Once again, if she's in the mood to dance and act, she's giving a terrific performance.

because it's a music video and you can do it a hundred of times till you get the best shoot

and there's not 4500 people watching you, which gets brit brit nerves on

And you can't rock the editing to make it look like you're dancing while you're barely moving.

In my opinion she only looks insecure in a few performances. When she's doing a hard choreo, or she doesn't feel it, she gets insecure. She has to concentrate and think in every move she has to do, because she doesn't feel it. For example, the WB choreo. She can't do it properly. It's a mess, she doesn't feel it, maybe it's too hard for her or maybe she doesn't want to do it properly and rehearse more times.

a logical explanation, thank you for communicating properly tho, unlike some other people who came in to drag my picture and nothing else, without me even asking of their shitty opinion (honestly get a life tbh) . I actually quite agree with you :tbh: I also wish she raised her eyebrows a bit so she can look like itzney :yay1:

She also kept the expressions during Circus, sure her dancing wasn't up to par to her onyx days but she still had the energy, and the fierce, happy, excited, expressions from every toyr I even think I saw a pic with the amazing smile she did during the OIDIA Tour from Circusney. :)

I was going to say 1999 thru 2009 but changed it right before I posted. :ummlol: But yeah, imo, Circusney was like primeney but with less choreography.
