So I've been thinking ...

With all these rumors about Vegas contract forbidding Britney to film actual music videos for Moroder, do you think maybe that's the reason we didn't get the 3rd single for BJ? I've just thought about it. We all know that's the only kind of "promo" she did for BJ besides interviews so maybe they decided to leave it as it is since they couldn't film mv?

And it does make sense - both WB and Perfume mvs were filmed before POM started and Britney even talked about Alien being the single in the IABJ.

I just hope that I'm only looking way much into it, since that would mean that we aren't getting any music videos for her new album or that Iggy's collab (if released this year, of course).

That's exactly what scares me! The expectations for B9 are so high (even more because of the whole BJ situation) so I'm really worried what will happen if that is the case. Let's hope it isn't!

That might also be true, but maybe the contract says that she can't film music videos while performing at Vegas. Meaning she could still do it by the end of December and film WB and Perfume ... Who knows.

yea, I doubt they would keep her from filming videos. They're making money off of her and if she promotes a new single with a video that's more money for PH

The reason is obvious : WB flopped, Perfume flopped hard, BJ flopped too. Why RCA would invest money in something that doesn't bring them money? They stopped exploitation just like they do with Xtina.

Plus, why would they said in IABJ Alien would be the next single while they already had knowlegde of the contract? It's obvious it has been simply stopped because it flopped too much, i'm sure they didn't expect a flop like that.

RCA isn't dumb there is no way they would be ok with a contract that don't let them do videos which is the only type of promo Britney does nowadays.

It's most likely because the album flopped, RCA probably read through fans reactions online and realized that no one was really all that excited for this album, and Britney and her team didn't really show a lot of passion for the songs so they just stopped. Making videos costs money and what's the point in sinking in more cash into a project that bombed?

The reason we didn't get a 3rd single was because the album and singles flopped. Releasing another single would have just been like flushing money down the toilet. There was no point.

For the collab, i think it's RCA imo. As i said in the other thread, she will release her own thing very soon and Moroder will release his thing during the same time so maybe RCA don't want her to do for someone else the only type of promo (music video) they still have, because Moroder could promote the song so the collab may have more exposition than Britney's own music.
