I don't think she is stanning. She has never been a stan...

The hypocrisy of this woman is unbelievable. If anything she is trying to get attention or bash indirectly...

I think Gaga really admires Britney. Back in BTW era she was so cocky and arrogant, but now I think she's way better.

btw, I can't see her post in the comments, did she delete her comment?

Perhaps you are right and after the significant downfall in sales and popularity she landed on planet earth.

However, her arrogance in the past and her comments during her concerts about lip syncing cannot be erased. Only time will tell if she has changed indeed...

I think she erased it, cause I saw it there :zoomzoom: And even other people commented about it!

I agree on that. She acted horribly in the past but I think she changed now.

I disagree with lip-syncing during the ballads. I believe she is afraid that she will get dragged if she makes a mistake.

However, for her performances in general I want her to lip sync so that she is free to dance and deliver a spectacle. I'm not here for Gaga or Beyonce performances. I'm a Britney fan...

And as a Britney fan do you feel ok when your fave uses playback all the time and says lies such as "I always sing live"? Because I don't.

Well, I don't care about her using playback either, but it's only because I'm her fan and I got used to it. For the general public she has bacome a parody of herself and she lost the respect because of years without any live performance. It's her fucking job, she's a singer so Gaga and her comments about lip-syncing are RIGHT. Being a Britney fan doesn't necessarily mean to accept every step she does, especially when it's something bad...

When I said "I'm a Britney fan" I didn't mean that I accept everything that she does or I give excuses when she doesn't perform very good. I meant that I've always liked her performances as they are and I always knew she lip-synced. Honestly, I cannot imagine a singer performing like this while singing live. If someone appears doing that I might become an even greater fan of that singer.

About the live singing during ballads I've already given my opinion...

About the "I always sing live" I really don't care. She could be trolling, she could be joking, maybe she was told to say it...I don't actually care. She is not running for president. So I don't care about her opinion regarding the global warming either. She can say whatever she wants, I'm here for her perfomances, music videos and music.

Gaga wasn't right because Britney was never famous for her voice. She became famous for her performances. She has always been a mediocre singer but an awesome performer and dancer. If Gaga, you or the general public cannot get that after 17 years, then it is not Britney's problem...

She became famous because of her MUSIC, not the performances. If not her music and Baby One More Time who knows if she was where she is now + actually Britney was singing live during early years of her career, so there's a reason people say that she's became a parody of herself. Of course, she's also known because of her great choreograpies and dance skills, but even this is not as good as it used to be. I just prefer to be honest with myself and that's why I see nothing wrong in what Gaga has said. It doesn't make her or me any worse than other fans, so saying that she's a fake fan was inappropriate...

Of course she became famous because of her music. But imagine her career just with her music and without the vma oops, slave, madonna performances, dwad tour, onyx tour etc. In all of this, live singing contributed maybe 1-5%.

Also Gaga wasn't asked her opinion about Britney's performances. She just decided to take advantage of her stage and bash (even humiliate perhaps) another artist. How does this make her a fan? Not even close...

I agree that those performances helped her but overall people know her because of the radio songs. If Toxic wasn't played on the radio in my country, I probably wouldn't be in the B-Army right now. People living outside America couldn't go and see performances you've mentioned above or watch them on TV, they all know her from video clips and singles, that's a fact.

Anyway, did she say something like this about Britney? I just remember that they asked her about opinion about singers using playback, but don't remember anything about Britney, any sources?

I can't remember about an interview. I was talking about her concert. I think she didn't mention Britney otherwise that would be a direct attack. But Britney has been criticised her whole life about lip-syncing. I can't imagine talking about someone else, even though everyone has been lip-syncing occasionally.

I think there was another video but I can't remember exactly which one.

Of course she could have said that just for the hype and make people talk. We even talk about that 4 years later, so I guess she knew exactly what she was doing. Back then she was an attention whore really thirsty for attention...

well, I don't see anything wrong with speaking loud about singers who lip-sync, because Gaga can sing and 90% of her shows are always live, she uses playback very rarely. I understand that her attitude wasn't the best a couple years ago because I also didn't like it too, but now she has toned down a bit. I mean I get what you're talking about and if they asked her "what do you think about using playback", then she answered "Britney almost always lip-syncs and I hate that", that wouldn't be nice especially when she knows her and she's a fan.. but overall, she's right in my opinion and it's Britney's fault that people talk about it, not hers or mine.
