Tbh i dont see why this should be the ugly truth. IMO its a good truth, the more she takes recording an album the better quality the songs will be, and this basically means that she is actually involved with the album and the creative process I would rather have an amazing slayage by godney after 2 years, than some BJ trash every couple of months So this just gets my hopes up for a really good album!

Honestly I could wait until the next year if the quality will be great or at least as good as Femme Fatale (I'm not trying to say that I want another EDM record, just a very well produced songs). I love some of her "rushed" albums (OIDIA, Circus), but after Britney Jean I'm worried that it will suck even more. They should work this whole year, find some good producers and songwriters and of course get Britney in the studio to record each song fully herself. I'm also hoping that this decision about first single with Iggy will change, because I'd prefer a first single to be 100% Britney...

I totally agree. This time, the album-making process should be fleshed out. And I'd prefer the music to be 100% Britney.

As some of you know, and for those who don't, I run the official swedish Britney Spears fanpage on facebook togheter with Sony Music. Today I got a comfirmation on what we all where asking... The lead single is NOT on it's way in a near future. Sadly, they told me that they wont release it for another 2-4 months if not even later.

She IS working on a new album, but that wont drop until the summer at it's earliest.

Sony will know from her team when new music is on it's way, but no word yet.

The picture from the studio of Britney recording is from when she was doing her song for that disco dude's album. (forgot his name, Giorgio?)

The album was never coming before summer. What we were told was that Britney was going to test the market with the Iggy track in January and then the GM song was to be released. But Britney always puts off the songs that others talk about. I don't know why but she does. Now we won't get the Iggy track (anytime soon if at all) and the GM song will have no video....

But the BOMT album could not have been worked on for less than a year. She started it when she was 15 and released it right after her 17th birthday. Oops was recorded in a short amount of time but It's a good album. BJ was recorded in a short amount of time though we learned about the album in December 2012. All the early songs were cut. We learned about album 9 recording sessions in September 2014. So, as I said before I'd wouldn't be shocked if we got a July, August, September album release.

i agree i wan't even expecting an album so soon it is better that time and thought is put into the album, bj seemed so rushed like even the production sounded unfinished.it sounded like an album from a novelty act where the budget was really low. Like if her record label is afraid that she has been quiet for amount of time it would be better to just release a solitary song like was done for 3. if the record label starts to just put albums out real fast i would be a bit worried that they want to finish with the artist do the albums cheap make the most profit possible and fulfil the amount of albums that was agreed on the contract.

If anything is great news! She (the producers) will work hard with plenty of time to make the album perfect and she (her team will make her) will promote it better, i seriously want this album to come out right when she finishes vegas, i know its at least a year and a half from now BUT i want something well made and PROMOTED, i dont want another BJ, the record company will start to doubt her and will be another step down to the end of her carreer.

Im still sad for the no video thing of that old guy song tho... but still I prefer quality over quantity...

That's what I thought too, I don't really get all this disappointment.
