Britney Ranks Third In Halftime Shows

According to USA Today out of the Top 22 Halftime Shows Britney places third. Only Michael and Janet Jackson were Better. They came in 1st and 2nd respectively. The Shows should be getting better but the Top four performances are at least ten years old. Rounding off the Top five is Prince in 2007. I hear there is a Poll out there for next year. Lets Vote!!!

The '01 halftime show ranked really well on many "Best of" lists this year, with Britney getting equal billing as Aerosmith & *NSYNC. She really doesn't even need to do another one, she killed it and her look is forever memorable.

I agree it was flawless, but I think she does need to make another one. One where she finally is the main artist, singing her own songs. Back in the day she only had 3 albums (and it was more than enough to make performance on her own) but now after so many hits, she has a big catalogue where to choose from, and the world would finally see, once and for all, that she has done so much more than just shaving her head.

Absolutely, I agree. I would love for her to do her own halftime show where she kills it with her biggest hits and shows the world who the princess is. But if that never happens I'm happy with her performance in '01 being her defining halftime show moment. She was a supporting player but has been elevated to headliner status and reviews in retrospect have been positive. Plus there was the sock.
