what are the grammys anyways like who are they to say what music is good and deserving. music is subjective there is no definitive answer to what is good musc that is why i think all these award shows are stupid and irrelevant.it is always the same artists who partake in the grammys it is music snobery.instead of an award show it should just be a show to acknowledge and put a spotlight on the different artists whos music made an impact that year. it could be like the royal variety show that they have in the uk just for music.and instead of the royal family being performed to it could be the us president.

The Grammys is one of the most corrupt institutions and the most corrupt of music the more clear example is Rihanna she doesn't writes, produces, doesn't play any instrument, isn't an excellent vocalist, she lacks to dances skills, and her songs are not very intelligent lyrically but she has won 7 grammys thanks to Jay Z (i love rihanna is my favorite diva after britney, I'm just being objective) but she has catchy songs and is attractive to the young public and the other side you have Mariah carey with more career, more contribution to music, who writes, produces her own music, can play instrument which usually used to compose her music , her lyrics are smarter and is one of the better vocalist of all time and she only has won 5 grammys in 25 years career.
