- The album's title was going to be "Britney Spears" according to promotional posters but then they changed it to "...Baby One More Time" because of the first single :orangu:

- "...Baby One More Time" was firstly titled "Hit Me Baby One More Time" :pieceofwhat: But then they changed it to the title we all know because ppl would've thought it was, like, something about domestic violence or whatever...

- The official album cover would not be the pink one for US nor the white one for Europe and Latin America but the one used for the Taiwan box version.

- The idea of choosing "(You Drive Me) Crazy" as a single was improvised. With the release of the film "Drive Me Crazy", proposal for promotion and release as a single was made, so "Jive Records" mixed the song to make it more commercial.

- "Email My Heart" was to be the next single for the US exclusively instead of "(You Drive Me) Crazy".

- "...Baby One More Time" is the album with most alternative covers in all of Britney's career. There are 11 different covers for '... Baby One More Time' (album) and 1 cover for the wooden box. "... Baby One More Time" single has 4 different covers, as "Sometimes". And "From The Bottom Of My Broken Heart" has 2. There are 7 different colours for the flower used in the album's CD.

- "Born To Make You Happy" was rewritten in several parts, as Britney refused to record parts in which the lyrics were very explicit sexually speaking. The lyrics were modified and then adapted by the authors.

- "Thinkin 'About You" was planned as a third promotional single after "Sometimes", but was canceled. :(

- The song "You Got It All" is a cover of THE JETS group. It was recorded to form part of the album, but was rejected and later put in the Japanese edition of "Oops!... I Did It Again" album as a bonus track. There's even a fragment of the song available on the 1998 promotional cassettes.

- "JIVE" wanted the video for "...Baby One More Time" to be cartoon, but Britney did not agree with it and decided to come up with the concept for the video, with her dressed as a schoolgirl, and that the history of it was developed in a Catholic school. I think she nailed it, right?

- "Soda Pop" was used as a promotional single on the soundtrack of "Pokémon: The Movie" and was also used as a promotional single in the release of a series of Britney dolls in 2000.

- Britney hates "Sometimes", despite being the second single from this album.

- During the "... Baby One More Time" performance at the '99 VMAs, Britney almost fell when she was finishing the act. This due to Britney walking backwards, and one of the dancers did not realize to move his foot as she was passing by.

- "... Baby One More Time" was originally written for TLC, but as the group already had completed the recording sessions of their third album, "FANMAIL", Max Martin thought about giving the song to a "boy band" (between them, the English band FIVE and also Backstreet Boys). Rejecting both groups the song, Britney went to the studio to listen to the song for the first time. She immediately thought it would be a great hit and, without hesitation, recorded the song. The rest is history ;)

The video for BOMT was shot at Venice High School in Los Angeles, which was the setting for Rydell High in the movie Grease.

It was rumored that Spears got breast implants around this time. A common spoof of this song was "Make My Boobies One More Size."

Some people hear a backwards message in the song: if you play the part where it says "With you I lose my mind give me a sign" backwards, it supposedly says, "Sleep with me I'm not too young."

In a 1998 interview with MTV, Britney revealed that she wanted the video to reflect the lives of her fans, so she wanted to set it in a school. "The first idea we had for the video was so off the wall," she said. "I was like, 'I want something a lot of kids can relate to.' It's just a fun video."

In a 2009 interview with MTV News, the director of the video, Nigel Dick, gave full credit to Spears for coming up with her schoolgirl look. "My idea originally was just jeans and T-shirts, and we were at the wardrobe fitting and Britney holds up the jeans and T-shirts and says, 'Wouldn't I wear a schoolgirl outfit?' " he said. "Every piece of wardrobe in the video came from Kmart, and I was told at the time not one piece of clothing in the video cost more than $17. On that level, it's real. That probably, in retrospect, is a part of its charm."

When asked by Out Magazine what the worst advice is that she ever received from a record executive, Britney replied: "Someone once told me that the '... Baby One More Time' video should be me as a superhero fighting a giant robot monster."

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Britney insisted the lyrics have nothing to do with domestic violence. "It doesn't mean physically hit me," she said. "It means just give me a sign, basically. I think it's kind of funny that people would actually think that's what it meant." Not many people paid attention to the interview at the time, given the then-scandalous cover of the teen lying on a bed, clad in a bra and hotpants while, oddly, cuddling a Teletubby.

In the music video for "…Baby One More Time," Britney's cousin Chad Spears portrays her love interest. Chad was an Abercrombie & Fitch model at the time (bit weird lol)
