Britney Is Not A Powerful Celebrity?!?!

So I was reading this article on forbes of the top 100 most powerful celebrities, fully expecting Britney to be in the top 20 at LEAST and she wasn't even on this list? Wtf forbes? How is JLO more powerful than Britney?   How is Miley cyrus, katy perry and all those other basic flops more powerful than Brit??   I can't even right now guys

They do this every year, britney has been in it the past and and even has topped the list but it is weird she is not  in this neither is madonna   and  madonna we know that she her music  or not she is very influential and powerful also  they are actors and actresses who have has had years of flops

Powerful is measured by how singer artists sell their singles and albums, the number of followers and their power in social networks  in a YEAR to actors is how their names influencing on the box office and such awards as oscar and golden globe. Let's be real, the last britney's album was a flop, britney has many followers on Twitter but she isn't as active as katy perry, taylor swift, rihanna etc, Britney got more revenue than many whom are listed here, the last year she was appears in the top female earn in music list by Forbes, but for for this list britney has no the spotlights as katy, taylor, beyonce, britney does not attend awards ceremonies, she didn't do promotion for her music or appears in tv program except for talks about charity events or her lingerie line etc ...

Because she's not just pop icon, she's a legend along with people like Michael Jackson and Madonna. Sure she hasn't been in the spotlight in the past year or so, but britney's name is recognizable world wide across generations despite this. Many of the popular pop artists now cite her as an inspiration. Even people who hate her can't deny that she has a huge influence. People were buzzing over a 10 second commercial she did for superbowl and was more popular for it than the actual superbowl performer, Katy perry. That to me screams power.

I'm not his fan at all but calvin harris has sold millions of singles this YEAR and is very successful in streams and with his features and like producer earn much . if Britney jean would had sold well or britney would had a big hit , she would was there without any doubt. Is all because she has no exposure and is  fail or her team because britney has a solid fan base you like it or not. For example her spotify account is a shame, she need do more promotion for this account they are flop artist with songs with more streams than her and today the streams count for certifications

But this only counts for one year,  in general terms madonna is more powerful in the industry than many who are listed here,she is the most successful female artist and best selling female that ALL TIME, but she is not here, because she has no influence on social networks that have people on the list. I still think there are many people who are from more here too.

britney is passed all this standing out making a statement and being on most powerful list in my opinion. that stuff is only for newer people coming into the business or people who crave attention/fame all the time.i think she just wants to do her job and just be treated like every other person who is in the entertainment industry like say matt damon.she probably just wants to be seen like a normal person and just be britney spears who happens to be a singer. not like say mariah carey introductions here is the most successful singer  in the planet earth lets all now bow or michael jackson making one move dancing then pausing for five minutes to let the audience scream then doing her next dance move.like what are all these celebrities using their power for they are not world leaders it is not healthy for a individual person to have so much power with no outlet for it.

Yeah I think Britney would actually LIKE the fact that shes becoming irrelevant. She never liked the fame and just wanted to be a normal person. But not seeing her on these sorts of lists anymore hurts me as a fan

She might be a legend or whatever you want it doesn't change the fact that she has been stuck in Vegas this past year and the only time people talked about her was when she had her collection out. But it is how the things work today, for example rihanna and britney have almost the same amount of followers on twitter, but britney gets 3K RT per tweet while rihanna get over 50K RT or even more per tweet or you have Bruno Mars who has the half of followers than britney and he gets 20K RT per tweet, call it what you want, and yes maybe is stupid but is how is measures the interest of GP about an celebrity in this make people seem powerful and be influences over others

Totally agree with you. Kind of surprising seeing as forbes is usually pretty reliable for their lists but this time I just dont agree with how they measure power.

And dont think that is a big deal for britney she's been in TOP TEN on multiple occasions even in this decade and after her return. Also she has topped the list before but her team need to work in her image and keep the GP interested on her, Beyonce topped  after 17 years of career, rihanna has been very influential on the young audience since her debut and her sales are huge and she has only been twice and never has topped forbes in her 10 years of career., so britney with a good era can do it again.
