Britney Is Not A Powerful Celebrity?!?!

Because she's not just pop icon, she's a legend along with people like Michael Jackson and Madonna. Sure she hasn't been in the spotlight in the past year or so, but britney's name is recognizable world wide across generations despite this. Many of the popular pop artists now cite her as an inspiration. Even people who hate her can't deny that she has a huge influence. People were buzzing over a 10 second commercial she did for superbowl and was more popular for it than the actual superbowl performer, Katy perry. That to me screams power.

Ok then tell me how people like Ashton Kutcher is on this list. What has Ashton been in this past year? That's right, nothing notable. The only thing Ashton is known for in recent years is getting divorced from demi and getting married to mila kunis. Yet even he makes the list.

 

Hmm i don't know, talk show appearances, magazine cover, Two and a half man tv show.. Then earnings + social networking + mention in the media etc.   He may not be really active, but still more than Britney, at least he's been on tv with like 10 million viewers each episodes.

The list is irrelevant as it only counts for the course of the year. It changes pretty often (except for like Katy Perry and other basics who churn out their crap every month with no thought to quality or longetivity [people will not know or care about some of these basics and their current hits because they are not timeless like Brit/Madonna/MJ/Prince/JT even])

He's been on two and a half men since 2011. That's not exactly new. If we're going by stuff that celebs have been doing since 2011, Britney has been doing way more than Ashton. Britney is also frequently mentioned in the media even when she does nothing. Hello superbowl ad? Also everytime she goes out to pick up starbucks in her sweats even that makes news. Lets not act like ashton kutcher gets more media attention than Britney   He may do more talk show appearances but that's it.

I just dont agree with the idea that more exposure = power. 

Then by that definition Kim Kardashian has more power than Oprah because Kim is exposing herself (sometimes literally) everywhere and that's just no

Powerful is measured by how singer artists sell their singles and albums, the number of followers and their power in social networks in a YEAR to actors is how their names influencing on the box office and such awards as oscar and golden globe. Let's be real, the last britney's album was a flop, britney has many followers on Twitter but she isn't as active as katy perry, taylor swift, rihanna etc, Britney got more revenue than many whom are listed here, the last year she was appears in the top female earn in music list by Forbes, but for for this list britney has no the spotlights as katy, taylor, beyonce, britney does not attend awards ceremonies, she didn't do promotion for her music or appears in tv program except for talks about charity events or her lingerie line etc ...

True tea. We've been use to nothing so we think all these small interview we get and instagram posts make her seem like she's so active when she's really not. But she is busy with vegas.
