Of course it's not important anymore :)

A gentle reminder he's the guy behind "Britney Jean is Britney's Ray of Light" and "Britney sings live in Vegas"

He said as important. Singles on itunes and radio/streaming is what moves the music biz for the last few years.

Not if they release it then watch it falls.

I agree!!! That was the stupidest comment I have EVER heard. Good, quality, well produced albums are even more important in the digital era. All those singers make shitty, cheap music and their songs are not even worth downloading.

Who does he think Britney is?

Now more than ever, she needs to create the best music EVER...With all this crap out there she needs to set herself apart, not make shitty, cheap music like the mass...

When it comes to Britney, I think more of an album then single. I mean since the very beginning, her albums sell more than her single. Why change it then?

Smh Larry :displeased: ...I mean I get it in a sense what he's trying to say and in retrospect it is KIND of true. singles are always placed on a much higher pedestal BECAUSE its whats played on radios, clubs, music videos so the GP would just bump those records more as opposed to the album. HOWEVER, I feel like that is now changing.

The course of music in itself is changing its becoming more raw, different, pop is introducing this new age sound or going folk on their shit and putting trap beats/club... and people are appreciating ALBUMS AS A WHOLE (ex: BEYONCE and seeing them for the masterpieces they are (ex:Blackout) AND its being really appreciated by the GP...NOT saying Britney needs to do all of that but just using it as an example.

I DO however feel like if she wants to take her time just to create REAL AMAZING music, so be it at least you want to make sure its perfect and crafty AS LONG as she shells out the singles more often SINCE LARRY wanna talk about how important they are now

EXACTLY...

The only era with major single success was the femme fatale one. There is no other 20s artist that has sold 100 million albums.

I'm starting to believe that they blame the low Britney Jean sales on the digital era... :frenchy:
