Lol sorry but no. A career is not a hobby. A job is a job, period. And no, because she's Britney Spears i won't treat her any different than anybody else.

And AGAIN, the fact the album is not released this year i don't care, it's the fact that it's because of Vegas that i'm mad, will you get it ?

 

And didn't y'all said her team was overprotective, acting like she was a little girl, wasn't treated like an adult or whatever? Well then, that's what i'm doing, i treat her as a responsible adult, she has a job, then she has to do her job. No time for stupid excuses. I'm not heartless, it's just that abusing of that child excuse isn't right either.

And i stick around because i like her, and because i'm a long time fan. However, if it continues like that, yes, i'm not sure i'll be a fan for long. She doesn't sing, doesn't dance (she has energy ok, but her moves aren't what i call dancing), doesn't promote, doesn't tour, now doesn't (sloooowly) record an album because poor girl has no time with Vegas. This is amazingly great for international fans, especially the ones who can't go to Vegas  .

 

Well, then...don't let the door hit u on the way out because it's not gonna go the way you want it. Your that fan who thinks Britney owes you something...guess what, Britney owes us nothing. She has given fifteen years of her life to the world and finally wants to take time to do what she wants. Britney wanted Vegas, point blank period. It's not an excuse, it the truth. I'm gonna be honest , i didn't believe in not one rumor ! From "insiders" or anyone whatsoever... The thing is Iggy overhyped it and so did the media and it made us think that there was gonna be an album ... Britney said in September that she been recording an taking things slowly (been recording since august 2014) the thing is it was said that she was gonna release an album sometime this year ..so to hear that she's not it pisses ppl off .. It especially pisses me off that she quit the BJ era just as soon as it got released in the same month .. I'm gonna be honest I think Britney is lazy .. She said to billboard she gets her kids every other week (2weeks) and she does 3 shows a week ,& Caesars entertainment said she has a recording studio across the way ..like wth ! Also Timothy said that Britney is bringing back a couple songs that didn't make BJ ... So the few song Larry was talking about was the Iggy collab , Giorgio collab, & the 2 BJ songs ... Basically she just recorded 2 songs out of this whole time .. Jlo ,Madonna , Beyoncé , & Celine have kids and they still manage to do a lot with tours and music .. And the fact that she said "an album isn't a priority"

Oh please, the childrens excuse isn't even real, she's abusing it just to not work. She doesn't even have them all the time since they are with Kevin too. And she has like 2 months of vacations between legs, so enough time to see them and doing other things like recording an album. As if she had no time the only reason is because since she's doing Vegas it would be too much for her to be busy with an album too because she became lazy, that's it. And as you said yes, there would be no tour, again because there is Vegas. Vegas always Vegas.

If she can't do her job properly, then she should consider to retire. As i said many times, it's her job not a hobby. Everyone on earth would like to be with their childs all the time ya know. Not even referring to career plans, I just don't think Britney has it that hard. Taking time on the album is GREAT (just what we all wanted), but it's not like she doesn't have time to do stuff besides perform 3 times a week every few months. So they could have just explained "we want the album to be good" for the interview. Makes sense.

I feel like fans put Britney on this pedestal. Sure she is making millions, but her increasing bank account does not correlate with how much she performs. She does not work harder than the majority of mothers. Not with her current work load.

The releasing singles plan is great as well, but I do hope Britney makes an effort to promote and show some pride in the upcoming songs.

Call me a heartless, pessimistic realist. But I didn't maintain interest in Britney by keeping up with her personal life. Any new music we get better be of some good quality.

If Brit had been a mother during her prime years and doing that much work, then the excuse and over-praise would make sense. But that is not the case.

Hell, being a mother to two toddlers didn't seem to be that big of an issue during Circus era. There are pics of her with the boys in Sweden, ffs. She obviously made it work when possible.

Britney is very very very lucky. Most people don't have the luxury of scheduling their career around their kids or seeing their career as a hobby. A mother (mine for example, a hair stylist) can work every single day for hours and hours to only make a few hundred or maybe a thousand a week. Brit works for 90 minutes for 3 days a week and makes fucking millions. She has plenty of time to be with her kids and work on her craft. Her work load is sporadic, not consistent and grueling.

So they should have left the excuse for working slowly on the album as "We don't want to rush it. More time is needed to time ensure it is of good quality." That sounds much better than saying she has to plan sporting activities. She has a recording studio in her house, right? It sounded like a weak cop out.

Homegirl has got it made more than any of us will ever be able to experience. Making good music shouldn't take away from her time with her kids. School lasts for six hours. We see her going to the dance studio during that time. So really, bringing her boys into the reasoning was kind of unnecessary (and I mean that in a nice way).

She's not stopping Vegas, so she will be doing something for sure. The lingerie promo last year couldn't have been but so difficult, so she had lots of time to just "be" last year; seeing that the residency schedule is very light and convenient. Things have been slowed down since 2013. We have gone for weeks without having a clue of what Brit was up to. I call that "just being".

Rather than ridicule her schedule and make excuses regarding her personal life and career, how about we just say the album won't be coming out soon because it needs to be properly made and not rushed? Which is good.

I think what a lot of you don't understand is that it's not that Britney CAN'T do whatever because of her kids but that she doesn't WANT to. Comparing her to other famous mothers or "normal" working mothers is foolish. There is no comparison, these women don't think alike and won't make the same decisions. One isn't more right than the other either. Britney's career, since marrying Kevin and having her children, is not her top priority. Her family is, her life has shifted, and that's ok. Britney is happy being in Vegas, doing her lingerie line and recording when she wants to. She's happy being a mom and supporting her kids in the things they wanna do. They're older now, they have their own lives and schedules. She can't take them around the world like she did when they were young. They have school, homework, sports practices and games, skateboarding and whatever else they're into. And Britney doesn't want to miss any of it.

She worked her ass off for the majority of her life. Britney's earned this break. She's earned the luxury of working less and being there for her family more. After losing her boys completely she's fought like hell to get where she is, and I don't think she's going to let anything get in the way of her children. Including her career. For Britney her boys are first, and her job and fans are second. The way it should be.

I'd also like to add that just because her career isn't her number one priority doesn't mean she should retire. Clearly she's very happy in Vegas, doing something she's been dreaming of for over 10 years. She still loves to perform and make music. Just because it's not up to some standards of fans doesn't mean she should stop doing what makes her happy. Plenty of people still enjoy her, if you don't anymore that's ok. But bitching about it isn't going to change anything.
