I am 100% okay with this  . New Singles will be fun. She seems to know what she is wanting to do and for the first time in a while no one is PUSHING her to make an album , she wants and is placing her children first which I fully understand . And how dare anyone fault her for that :idc1: .

Also taking time for an album is a relief for me. We all know rushed music it can be good but not up to what Britney is capable of recording :lips1: .

I say you do your thing girl be the mother your wanting to be ...so many artist do not place their kids dead spot #1 Britney does. :thatsright:  I def understand and look forward to some single  :thatsright:

Ok I will try to share my point of view on all this Billboard interview/cover...

Firstly I never expected an album before the end of the year, so I don't really care about what they say about it (although I don't like the way Larry said it)

I'm okay for a few single till the album is ready, even if it's for next year... (we already know the Iggy & Giorgio collab will come out this year for sure)

About Vegas, I wished she hadn't extended it again especially if there are no major changes like new songs added (I don't care about new costumes and 10sec choreo)

And about the photoshoot, nothing "wow", I have the impression of seeing the same photos all over again, it reminds too much the Health magazine mixed with Out mag from 2011, it becomes repetitive and annoying...

Meltdowns all over again :drown: My fault for trusting her shit flop team again :drown: Larry "Albums are not as important in digital era" :drown: this is jut amazing, how can he never fail to prove how stupid he is? HOW?!

:4music: literally my face when i read that statement

Amazing  :4music:

I have one thing to say, fuck vegas.

I'm not mad at the fact we are not getting the album right now, i mean as long as it's not at least in like 3 years or more i'm ok with it (meaning 2016 max for me, otherwise, i'm gonna be pissed).

What is bothering me is that it's obvious it's Vegas that is ruining everything. They can stop with those excuses. Album aren't important ? WHAT THE HELL ??? What about fans who listens to music ?? And the gurl have 3 months of vacations between legs but she doesn't have time to record ? My ass. It's just Vegas. Vegas ruined BJ era before it even started. And now what? We won't even get an album. A-m-a-z-i-n-g !!! What's next ???  :icantt: And worse is that it's probably gonna be until 2017, so, it's fucking sure we won't have an album until 2018.

At this point, she may just retire, it will be the same.  :smokeney:

Oh and, lol @ Britney who said back in september her next album would be "big and special" while they aren't even thinking about it yet. Next time they better shut their mouth.

Guys. Since the first time Britney talked about the album.. that I guess was when she was promoting the lingerie line.. she said she was going to take a long time to do this album.. and we all thought about late 2015 or 2016.. so why are you upset right now????

Btw.. she looks hot af!

:thirsty:

Am I surprised? No.

Disappointed? Yes. Mainly because of what was said. Albums DO matter. And besides seeing Brit perform on a regular, Vegas is just....not my favorite career move of hers.

I am excited for the singles, however.

The cover looks like a mix of some of the shoots she's done since 2011. Meh.

Well.........I like the strategy, Britney jean was a flop, I do not want to see britney placing a flop after flop, I prefer she takes he time and do a good album, the idea of singles, I also love and who  knows? can be a good play, perhaps many Armies didn't like it because we were thrilled with the idea of an album soon but if she gets a hit or smash single, she may have the GP again and when the album comes out get more attention by the GP.

"Albums are not as important in the digital era." :xf11: Um, has Larry even noticed how successful Beyoncé and Taylor Swift's previous albums were in 2013 and 2014?! :zoomzoom: What a ludicrous statement to make! :imout:

Let's hope the Iggy & Giorgio collabos are dropping soon because I am thirsty for new music. :no1curr:

She had ENOUGH time to record a good album.

Her team simply realized they're making so much money with the residency that albums aren't that important to them anymore.

I'm seriously fucking pissed.

Not only because there will not be an album but because she will not perform outside vegas and the chance for another world tour is gone... Flop Jean was released 2 years ago.

Seriously, who doesn't have enough time to make a good record in 2 fucking years?? Especially someone with so many resources as Britney to get the best producers & writers...

SMH

this tbh

i am so beyond pissed and i feel like they are doing the bare minimum

also the cover is lazy & boring. could have been really cool but what do you expect from her flop team

Is that it or is there more to the interview?  I want more information on the Iggy & Moroder collbas since that's all we're getting this year.  I'm glad she is taking her time with recording because after the colossal mess that is Britney Jean... take all the time that is needed because I will never purchase an album that is majorly sung by her studio twin again.  Why is Larry always interviewed?  I seriously can't stand his lying ass.  Another two years in Vegas tho...?

I don't mind if she takes time to make an album, we are getting music while waiting. The only thing I am not sure about is the Vegas thing. On one hand is making britney anonymous, she should promote herself, her music, ... but on the other hand... I am not sure if she is going to make a tour and international promotion ( with performances) in any case. Right now we get shows quite frequently. She should refresh it a bit(apart from costumes).

this wouldnt even matter if we would've had a decent album/era with BJ, but since they half-assed it cause of vegas, it feels like yet another let down.

this would be the perfect time for a 1st single and a spring album now she has a part of her energy back.

who knows how "motivated" she will be by the time vegas is over? I still love her, but it's so hard to see she's getting more & more irrelevant in the indusry

  :crying1:

I dont want be delusional but some parts larry is right about the albums sales the aren't profitable as are today singles is sad but is true only are a few exceptions artist like ? Adele, Taylor Swift, Bruno mars, Jt (because wasn't like for seven years and got his fan base with anxieties maybe if he never let wouldn't be same or who knows?) Beyonce's team made a reconstruction of her image creating a legendary image after the flop that was 4. Let's be real britney will not sell big quantities of albums anymore only with her fans she need the GP supports, she need have a hit and streamings , today the streaming is very important in music, ariana grande went platinum with less than 500K sold by streaming of her previews hits, Rihanna is huge best selling artist by today standards and she has trouble selling her albums at the same way that she sell her singles., so imagine britney today, with no promo.  I think that put  some singles before released the album can be a intelligent strategic, I hope they work it on the charts.

I think this is the right direction for her right now. Albums take a lot of time and effort and if she messes up her fans will not be kind. So if its easier to just release singles here and there as she gradually puts the album together then so be it. She's not the only person to do that and it does give her and her team time to scout for the right producers and songwriters go execute a strong follow up to BJ. It's not like when she's not performing POM she's just sitting on her ass at home. She's obviously taking care of sons and herself (first priority), making business decisions or at least taking part in those decisions that further her brand, and recording stuff just feelin it out. It will happen eventually. At least she's not doing what Justin did which was put 7 years in between albums to have a lackluster movie career and then return with a just ok album.
