tbh i stan marina , because she's a true hard worker , andddddddddddddddddd this was actually yesterday at her +google livestream not an interview she answered my Question yesterday so

I am really sad that I don't like this album in comparison with the others  :crying1: but i love her stanning for Brit

when I saw her in concert in 2013 she had a playlist before the show and it was mostly britney songs LOL

Froot is a grower, if you keep listening to it I'm sure you'll end up loving it!  :)

i LOVEE marina but i feel like she is a bit of a lana ripoff. i hope i am wrong tho. i am not too familiar with all things marina but from what i see lately

i LOVED marina's primadona era tho. i dislike lana's new album. born to die was everything. her songs lack depth now i think cuz she became more mainstream so they tell her to do less depressing things but depressing WAS her thing. thas what i loved about her. oh well

Not really, her first EP is from 2005 and she recorded her first album in 2006

No one knew who Lana is before 2011 tho and Marina already had kinda succesfull album released in 2010

People who listen to this kind of music that's not on the radio knew about Lana, Kill Kill EP was quite known. I didn't hear about Marina before Electra Heart tbh. + being well know and recording are two things :3

Maybe some people knew about her, but before 2011 she was literally no one in the music industry and Marina already was a succesfull artis. The Family Jewels sold over 50k (if not more) in its first week worldwide and overall around 200k in the uk, idk about the rest of the world. Also Hollywood debuted at #12 in this country and other singles charted high as well. Of course, she became more succesfull with Electra Heart, but people knew about her before Lana. If not Video Games, who knows if Lana was where she is now

yes! ultraviolence is nice. its calming its nice to listen to but its definitely missing depth

 

i actually known about marina since the family jewels album and the 'i am not a robot vid.' i liked it but it wasn't too much of my style. electra heart was everything. i havent heard the froot album yet but im gona give it a listen.

thats true. marina was famous . people just didnt pay as much attention to her as they do now. i also think people are always comparing the two and i see some similarities but they are still different people
