My Theory on the state of Britney's career

With all that been going on, with Breatheheavy and all, it kind of sounds like to me this was done out of the pure reason that Britney isn't all the newsworthy right now, half dancing, no singing live in vegas, etc. So, i decided to really take a look back at the last year for britney and in a way try to give my theory on why this is the way it is.

 

BRITNEY JEAN PROMO: let me say this now, when Celine Dion first started doing her Vegas Residency, she did not perform on any tv show promoting it nor any live performances outside Ceasers, as with Bette Midler and Cher, which means when a performer is doing these kind of shows, they aren't allowed to perform outside where they are contractually able to perform, all they did was a bunch of sit down interviews, Example, here of Bette's "promo Performance on the View"http://youtu.be/6j5Cv-6FDB0. She din't perform live, they just gave a clip of her show. So, with the lack of Britney Jean performances, it's all on vegas and Britney, if you can see, is not the first performer to suffer that fate.

 

"IM A MOM NOW" : She has entertained us for 15+ years and has done more in her career than most have by 20+ years, so she wants balance in her life, performer and mother, which i see nothing wrong with. She has said this time with her boys is everything because they are growing up and how can we forget that for most of their lives, their mother has been in and out of rehab, had a very public breakdown, a long comeback trail, touring , judging reality tv shows, and the list goes on. Personally, i think she feels like now is not the time to miss out on their lives before they get to be teenagers and as most of you know,most teens tend to want nothing to do with their parents in their personal lives, so she is trying to be there more and also, they are able to remember things more than they could have five years ago, so she in a way is doing what most parents do, clean up their image and if the kids do find out about their rocky past, they have the chance to tell the truth, which might be hard for britney considering she is Britney Spears.

 

VEGAS AND BRITNEY JEAN COLLIDE; This one is one topic that is blurred, where did Vegas begin and Britney Jean end? My theory, Britney Jean started out as the project Britney and Will.I.Am said it was to be. But, if we look at the documentary IABJ, she started planning in April of last year, with the show being up in December of last last year. So, in a way, i believe thats when her team decided more was to be gained from Vegas than the album for one, She could have as many breaks to be with her kids than touring, She's in one place and she can have time for herself and do what she loves, plus more money to be gained and since this is her last album under her original contract, gives her time to revamp her energy and drive as a performer without the pressure of contractually making an album, touring and all that jazz, so Vegas starts and i really do feel this way, they told Will to pick out songwriters, send submissions to Britney, set times to record and make sure songwriters give britney some writing credit on them( sorry there are just some songs on BJ that sound like britney wrote them and some she just stamped her name on) and there you go Britney Jean introduces Piece Of Me.

 

VEGAS PERFORMING: I think everyone here can agree that Vegas has gotten Britney getting into the groove again and this show may be what she needs as a performer. Its getting her to open up more, interact a little more with fans and dance like the queen she is. But, she is more and more getting back to her old self, with improvements made every night. For her , it's like re-learning how to walk and doing it right, i feel the passion in her growing every leg and though not a lot, its visible that she is getting some more pep in her step, which makes me smile. She is doing great in vegas and this might be what we need to see her do to get back to form. I say vegas is like training for her, to see if Onyx Hotel Britney is still inside and if she is, make her stronger than before. So, imma give her all the time she needs, if it continues to go the way it going now.

 

I know that was alot but i feel like here im able to voice my opinion and get feedback in a not so mean way, which is why i wrote this and to maybe open our minds up more and to others as to why Britney is who she is right now and why certain things happened this year, granted this is not 100% fact, but i hope i at least got some ppls minds thinking about this era and why its where it now.

to cut to the chase, Britney's in different place in her life now.. 

 

shes happier. genuinely and to me thats all that matters,,

 

and because she getting happier and happier shell be more motivated to perform like she used to again..

Omg stop we're actually being positive on here this is such a breath of fresh air! Totally agree with everything you said. It make sense that promo is on the decline and it's okay that she's concentrating on her family right now. There is no harm in that. I'm tired of people being thirsty for her to be #1 in the charts and when she's not they discredit her artistry and how much they like something.

She's happy and that's all that should matter to us.

She wants to keep on performing and working, but nowhere near how she did before. Vegas is fine with me... I just hope she improves her music from BJ when she releases a new album.
