With 33.1 million albums sold in the U.S., Spears is the 17th-best-selling album artist since Nielsen began tracking sales in 1991. Among women, she's fourth, after Mariah Carey (54.6 million), Celine Dion (52.4 million) and Shania Twain (34.5 million). After Spears, Reba McEntire ranks fifth among women at 30.4 million albums sold.

Femme fatale was a successful era in global singles sales ... in album sales we all know that it wasn't although the RIAA has certified FF as platinum because they count shipments but Nielsen only accounts the actual sales and yes BJ it's a big flop for britney's standards.

Thanks for posting this! I'm glad to get an update on her sales! However, Soundscan doesn't include sales from BMG Music Clubs so BOMT & OOPS actually have more sales than listed. BOMT is around 14 million and OOPS is around 10 million if you add the club sales up.

yes, in the RIAA official page BOMT is diamond certified by 14X platinum and ODIA is diamond by 10X platinum

Circus sold 500,000+ in one week in 2008 tho  :zoomzoom:

Justin sold nearly a million two years ago and T.Shitz just sold 1M+  :crying1:

With promotion and the right singles, albums can still sell extremely well. Ed Sheeran, Basic Perry, Adelephant and many other artists all have longevity on album charts because of their singles and constant promo. Britney was a singles artist up until Cirucs and with FF things changed  :smokeney:
