My Hopes For "pretty Girls"

I usually would never post a topic like this, as I feel that I am in nowhere near entitled to be in control of Britney's career, and by the looks of where she successfully stands at today I don't think I need to be. However, when I saw the twit pic of her with her dancers today it gave me hope that what I'd like to see will come to fruition.

I truly hope the song/video comes out as motivational. I hope it's not all about being on some sort of inhuman pedestal where all are to worship. Quite frankly I don't even think britney feels like that's a reachable standard herself and I don't want that to become her image of today. I hope that the "pretty" they're referring to is more so about what's on the inside.

Call me corny but even me (as a gay MAN) am sick of living in a world that puts such a high expectation on women based firstly and above all else on what she has to offer physically.

And it's Britney, at best it will be a basic song like "all pretty girls in the club, come on to the dancefloor" etc.. They said it's fun and everything so i highly doubt it will be a meaningful song, and especially since they are in the studio, if it's really for the video i doubt a song about being pretty in the inside would have a routine in the video (with pretty girls on top of that), it would be completely paradoxical.

Work Bitch was a dance song that had a meaning though. Not all fun good for the club songs are empty vacuums. A good number of the good ones that stand the test of time had some depth to the lyrics. Who knows what will happen but I'm sure it will be good. I agree with the OP.

Please, can you at least take the subject into consideration ? Work bitch is all about "you wanna be rich, you betta work" , all the lyrics are about fancy things, fancy cars, drinks, parties, looking hot.. it has a meaning yes, but what's deep about this ? it's a superficial song, so obviously she's gonna dance, look sexy etc. it's not the same AT ALL. 

 

If the song is (as the OP said) about being pretty on the inside, i'm sorry but yes it would be very paradoxical to have girls like her dancers in it, and have a routine where she will obviously look sexy. A song with a meaning like "Run the world (girls)" on the other hand, would be totally fine for it, but being pretty on the inside, just no.

Work Bitch was brilliant. It was an obvious satirical, tongue-in-cheek commentary about our materialistic and fame obsessed society who want to be rich and famous without working hard for it or even deserving it (like being talented). It's not Britney's fault you didn't get it.

Feel how you feel about Work Bitch but I did find the bridge to be empowering. "hold your head high, fingers to the sky, they gon try to try ya but they can't deny ya keep it floating higher and higher...now they don't believe ya but they gonna need ya..." like come on is that not empowering? Have confidence in yourself is what I took away from it. And obviously she's being sarcastic, if all you want is materialistic things that you think come easy, well surprise those things don't come easy, you gotta work for it. But honestly I don't know why I'm even entertaining you here because all you ever post about Britney is negatively coated. I know you're a fan but at the same time you sound like a permanently disappointed one and honestly it's a bit frustrating to read but your opinions are yours so I'm not attacking them.At the same I'm allowed, so is everyone else, to have some hope that we're getting something good from her. Same here.  I want something full of sass but universally good. Just a real good summer/club banger, pop music needs it.  She can release something more meaningful, deeper in the fall.

But anyway, i was just saying that if they are dancing and everything, IMO the song won't be about being pretty in the inside. It's too deep for that.

I doubt the song will be a only pretty girls have fun. But more hanging with her fun sassy girlfriends. It won't be directly motivational but it won't be haha only pretty girls count either.

Yes!!! I was thinking the same! You can be a nice person, even a shy one, but you can be sexy at the same time too and you shouldn't feel like you're doing something wrong.. also being pretty is not a crime. I mean, I feel like people get sort of angry if a song doesn't have a deep meaning or whatever, but hey! fun songs are also great and spring is coming and everything, it's actually nice and exited to have a catchy song about pretty girls driving around, because let's face it: the summer is coming and it's not all about breaking hearts and heavy deep meanings... it's about having fun with your firends (btw Britney is also in a very happy place in her life right now-not like years ago with songs like Everytime, etc.) and what's wrong with being pretty/feeling pretty?! This is not only meant for models but for people who are comfortable in their own skin and for people with confidence! This! This is the exact message that I want the song to send! You know, with sassy lyrics that you can sing along and make you feel confident and sexy!
