It's Pretty Girls A "test" To See How The Gp & Fans Reacts Towards Britney's New Music...

so they(label) see if they can take the risk to release a new album this year or delay it and work harder for something different...??  :youcrazy:

I've been wondering this after all the promo the single is getting since few days without having an album announced.

I'm sure after Flop Jean(Sorry not sorry) they not gonna risk again... :britney-truepepsi:

I do think "Pretty Girls" is a test song, and if it's a massive hit, they'll put the album out around August/September along with a new single. However, if PG flops, they won't put out the album this year and will wait until they have another hit single on their hands.

Why would they do all of this (promo performance etc.) if it was only a "test single" tho... doesn't make sense, it would actually  be the contrary, they wouldn't do big things if it was just a test. And obviously with a performance, it's gonna chart pretty well. So it wouldn't be an accurate judgement because it doesn't mean an album would do well, especially if they don't do anything once it's released (as if they would think if PG is a hit, then an album release is safe and can be sold by itself with no promo).

They won't have sales by magic, they need promo, end of story, the fact that PG is a hit or not won't define if a possible album would be a success or not.  :yaknow:

It seems like everyone involved believes PG is a smash (Britney wouldn't fight Igloo for a single, much less as her lead, unless it was fire), so hopefully they release that, keep hype building with Tom's Diner and then drop a new solo Britney track as the official 2nd single with the album in late summer   :gaspy: :gaspy:

Exactly. They don't follow any logic.  :yaknow:

A possible scenario that I see is that if Pretty Girls is a hit, because of this promo they're doing (which is huge if we compare Britney's promo in the latest years, but it's still not a big deal compared with other artists) they're gonna release the album, but they'll want to take advantage of the PG hype even if they release it 8-10 months later. I bet they'll think the hype of this single will last enough to make Britney's music sell by itself in the next 6 years or something, I don't think they'll do "this kind of promo" in the near future. Seriously, I won't believe it till I see it :bigtime:

mte. :mhm: I hope PG smashes and we have a summer album!! I'm sick of winter releases. Blah. :(

Just because some fans consider Britney Jean a flop doesn't mean it actually was. Something to keep in mind.

Just some fans...??

This. They wouldn't promo and they would just release it without any one knowing just to see if Britney and Iggy is still in. :tbh:

I think it's just that they want this single to be succesful after her latest "flops", that's why they're putting so much effort into this song. I think it's really smart to focus on a couple of singles before thinking about releasing an album because they need the public to get interested in Britney again so by the time she decides to release an album people will be excited about it and it'll be a hit (if she promotes it of course).

Look at the  numbers they speak for themselves. If she was a new star out of nowhere it wouldn't be considered as a flop because she wouldn't have any legacy yet or an already built fanbase. But it's not the case. As big as she is, a worldwide popstar, yes it is a flop, and a big one. Why do you think even her team (or her label) scrapped the exploitation and we didn't have a 3rd single. Because it was a flop and even themselves realized it. And if BJ wasn't a flop, they wouldn't move their ass right now for Pretty Girls, and Britney wouldn't even bother performing it on BBMA.

Hell, even in my flop France some local artists were able to sell more than 800.000 only here, while Britney didn't even sell more than like 600.000 WORLDWIDE, and only like 300.000 in her own country.

I personally feel that there is going to be a sruprise album release immediately after the release of PG

I agree with you but I think they are going to see how PG does first and release it soon after if its a hit...sorry WHEN its a hit ;)124a59t.gif

Britney Jean underperformed I won't deny that, but it wasn't a "flop"

I dont know what to believe anymore. So many people are saying an album is attached to this single, but with Britney's team anything is possible   :what:

I guess we'll just have to wait and see  :overthis:

Honestly, it's Iggy's fanbase (13-year-old girls and some preteen gays) who can make 'Pretty Girls' a hit, plus Britney fans, of course. Once they get the song up there, maybe the GP will give her a chance. The fact that she seems to be willing to promote this time makes me hope for the best.
