prettygirls3

This is something we ALL wanted to here and it looks like Pretty girls as a different theme then we all thought!

Iggy Azalea talked with EntertainThis! about filming Pretty Girls with our girl Brit Brit. Iggy reveled that she left most of the dancing to Britney but Britney wanted Iggy to dance with her as well. She said:

I didn’t dance! She wanted me to. Since I was co-directing the video, the way I explained it was, it would be kind of obnoxious for me to direct a video and give myself a dance break as well. Like, “Here’s the video! And I gave myself a dance scene!” I don’t know if it necessarily fits my identity, but I think Britney’s identity is really embedded in being a dancer, and that’s something she really wanted to do as well. So there’s a lot of dancing in the video, but I wouldn’t say its necessarily centered around that.

AHH! Music to are ears! If anyone can do an awesome dance scenes it is our queen Britney! Then Iggy reveled that the music video is a little bit inspired by an 80's theme:

It’s a little bit more complicated than that. You know me, I like having a narrative. So if it was just like, “‘80s!” that would be kind of boring for me. But what Britney made clear to me is that she really wanted to do a video where she got to dress up and play a character. That was really important to her and she liked a lot of the things I’ve done that were inspired by movies and stuff.

Iggy admitted that she told Britney to look up the actress Geena Davis who was featured in films such as; Beetlejuice, Thelma and Louise and also  The Fly.

I think she’s just like the ultimate ’80s pin-up hot, cool type of girl, so I told Britney to check her out, and she was like, “Yes, I love Geena Davis!” So we based our characters on a lot of stuff like that, like Geena Davis and characters she played in a lot of her movies at that time period. But there’s definitely a narrative. I don’t want to give it away, but it’s quirky and funny.

Maybe that's why Iggy was dressed as an Alien during the music video shoot, maybe there is a Beetlejuice reference as well with a Thelma and Louise reference?? Yeah this is going to be EPIC! We can't wait to see the video!!

I honestly don't care a thing about iggy but I appreciate all the details she's been giving lately. Can't wait for this video!

Yeah, I've never liked her. But I think this duet was actually a positive thing for Britney and her fans (all of us :P) unlike that SMS Bangerz thing that I perfer not to remember :ewomg:

She said there's a lot of dancing but that it's not centered around that.

I think that translates to like "Britney danced her ass off but we're only showing one dance scene"  :frenchy:

Iggy Azalea Won’t Be Dancing with Britney Spears in “Pretty Girls†Video

ABC/Randy HolmesDespite a history of twerking, Iggy Azalea is perfectly content to leave the dancing toBritney Spears in the video for their song “Pretty Girls.†The Aussie rapper, who co-directed the video, tells USA Today she just wasn’t comfortable busting a move.

“I don’t know if it necessarily fits my identity, but I think Britney’s identity is really embedded in being a dancer, and that’s something she really wanted to do as well,†Iggy says. “So there’s a lot of dancing in the video, but I wouldn’t say it’s necessarily centered around that.â€

When Iggy and Britney were spotted filming the visual around L.A., their wardrobe seemed very ‘80s-inspired. But Iggy says the video won’t be your typical ‘80s homage. “It’s a little bit more complicated than that,†Iggy says. “You know me, I like having a narrative. So if it was just like, â€80s!’ that would be kind of boring for me. But what Britney made clear to me is that she really wanted to do a video where she got to dress up and play a character.â€

Iggy says she looked to actress Geena Davis for the video’s style inspiration. “I think she’s just like the ultimate ’80s pin-up hot, cool type of girl, so I told Britney to check her out, and she was like, ‘Yes, I love Geena Davis!’†Iggy says. “So we based our characters on a lot of stuff like that, like Geena Davis and characters she played in a lot of her movies at that time period. But there’s definitely a narrative. I don’t want to give it away, but it’s quirky and funny.â€

“Pretty Girls†will be released on May 5, and Iggy and Britney will be performing the song live on the Billboard Music Awards May 17 on ABC.
