PG sounds like a smash. Tom's Diner sounds like ISBE 2.0 in that clip  :zoomzoom:

I'm excited for both songs because they're so different and they bring such different sides of Britney. PG is fun, sassy and upbeat while Tom's Diner sounds more experimental and mystical. I'm so happy we're getting both songs soon  :crying1:  :crying1:

Not excited but rather curious and in search of new music to listen to, so PG. A bit disappointed of the Giorgio track(so far from what I've heard). His 74 is the new 24 is better in my opinion, even though there isn't any singing, the instrumental is better than tom's diner's one. My opinion, of course.

That's totally fine  We are all able to have our opinions ;)

personally more excited for PG to drop cuz I need that summer smasha in my life. Not bashin TD, but it really does have ISBE vocals; hopefully, when the whole song is presented, the vocoded vocals will add to the atmosphere like in Unusual You, instead of take away from it like ISBE.

I kinda hope/expect that a rawer version of TD leaks where Brinny's vocals aren't treated so much. I don't blame the vocoding since it is Giorgio's electronic album. Also, pre-empting the rebuttal that it's glossing over a lack of vocal skill, consider that the last album Giorgio was involved in, Daft Punk's RAM, also had a rather controversial vocoding moment when they vocoded Julian Casablancas' (the talented lead singer of The Strokes) amazing voice. Here's the song:

his actual voice:

which sounds pretty much like the treatment they gave Brit's vocals. It's art. Don't have a fuckin meltdown y'all :qtb:

I agree with that last statement, people automatically think that vocal edition is always bad, but it can sound good if it's done properly, and I think it's the case! Just like in I Run Away, And Then We Kiss and Unusual You the effects on Britney's voice are what make the song so atmospheric and special.

As always we will have to wait and see, but at least Unbrokeney said her vocals aren't autotuned

exactly! established artists have been tastefully and experimentally using vocal effects for atmospheric and thematic strength for a while now! huge example is Neil Young's Trans if you're interested in a full-on vocoder experimental project; Young recorded the album so he could draw closer to his son with cerebral palsy :) also: Kraftwerk
