i get the use of them, and how they can lend to the artistry of the song, and that it helps the human voice blend with all the synthetic instruments, but they seriously use it on her to the point of it not having a clear human voice. I'm fine with her not singing live, she's a nervous woman and it would reflect in her voice, but we should at very least get a clean sounding human vocal from her on a studio recorded record. still love her music, i just want more of her to shine through it!

sometimes i prefer this type of effects than the high pitch almost every producer over-uses to make her sound like her former baby voice. and tbh her voice in 'tom's diner' is not that altered. she sounds pretty good to me :aww1:

The effects added to the BACKING vocals are barely noticeable. People need to stop with the automatic assumption that Britney = vocal editing and learn to just enjoy the music. Tom's Diner is amazing, end of story.

this is not exclusively to toms diner, my complaint with that one really is the need for the bridge but dropping the rest of the song.. unless this is all still just a clip that has leaked. And no I'm not shocked at the use of the effects, and yes they are there, its would just be nice for a clear sounding voice without the mash layerings for a change. maybe develop some vocal credibility to the general public that we already know she has.

1. There is no autotune on main vocals

2. Only backing vocals are edited

3. All Moroder's tracks sound like this, it's just his style

4. Tom's Diner is a pure slayage

Oh please! Don't be exaggerated :frenchy: ISBE was really really robotic. This is Giorgio's style, ya kno? 80s kind of music mixed with some contemporaneous sounds, that's all :) And Britney's main vocals are not THAT edited! As everyone else is saying, only backing vocals are. But this time i think it's perfectly made because those backing vocals fit perfectly with the melody of the song and with Britney's main vocals :crying5:

sounds familiar:

see it does sound like this, and i worship imogen heap (idk who this girl in the vid is lol), but not all of her songs sound like that or use all the same techniques, she is always switching it up and i think it makes her feel fulfilled as an artist. britney probably heard what he did with her voice, what all producers do and lost interest and didn't feel the need to record the bridge.

I love Imogen Heap's 'Hide and Seek', so the sound of Britney's voice does not really bother me. The Giorgio bridge does (for why did he have to incude it?), but I won't let the vocoder ruin the song for me.

thats fair , its just my opinion! i agree i do hear britney and the backing vocals, it sounds like she is singing with a robot quartet.

I see where you're coming from. Imogen has proved her raw vocal ability time and time again. So her experimentation is seen as just that. Britney is at a disadvantage here. Lots of her songs have effects done on her voice. Experimentation for Britney actually is when she sings just raw. Which it sounds like she is, of course, but someone (maybe Britney or Giorgio) decided to add vocoder or whatever.

But I really like the song anyway (And I'm usually difficult to please).

Except for the bridge. :awkward:

THANK YOU BLESS! :Godney:  This is exactly what I'm saying, i'd love for her to experiment with raw. and i agree with the bridge but imma let it go lol :trollney:
