First, read this review of Britney's Tom's Diner here:

It really gives you a lot to think about. And I love this review since it captures the exact feelings I have about the song - if you look at lyrics from Britney's point of view, it gives a song a whole new meaning (and a very sad one, I might add). :crying1:

 

I also thought about the mysterious ending of the song...  “I’m feeling someone watching me, and so I raise my head…†This sends chills down my spine.

 

So many feels in just one song! And it's already TT on Twitter and everybody is praising it; I think it would be fair it gets a single release and a music video portraying Britney sitting in a cafe on a rainy, misty day (maybe filmed in black and white?). It would be very different for her, artsy-fartsy and quite simple to do... Let's hope it happens!

 

What do you think of it?

Ok so I read this article and oh God I don't know what to say! It's really interesting and it actually changes your point of view a bit tbh :tbh:

 

ikr? The actual lyrics are pretty complex if you really look into them. And the fact Britney herself came up with the idea for covering this song is even more interesting.

Honestly, it was so long and winding I lurked on GGD to find a synopsis; instead, I found a lot of pissed LMs wondering why MM would choose to do a interview on BH rather than, idk, one of the largest Gaga forums :gloria:

Thought provoking take. I did find it interesting that they ended the song where they did but I never thought to go here. Which is stupid of me because this is something Britney probably has done. Cool.

Wait til Team Britney contacts me to use that cover as the official single cover :queenflopga: I heard Criminal single cover was a fanmade that became official later. (Maybe that's the reason of the glitch at the top of the single cover of Criminal :orangu:)
