When they announced that Britney would perform on Billboard Music Awards I was super excided! But then I started to think about the contract... Do this mean that during the entire WB/BJ release and era, she was just not into promoting?  :aww1:

But after a few days of think I came up to this thing... The contract was for 100 shows right? But they made a new contract making her stay in Vegas longer. Maybe the new contract don't have the "only in Vegas" thing on it, you know what I mean?   :zoomzoom:

And also, If I counted right... She will be up to around 100 shows when BBMA airs!  :displeased:

The 100 first shows was just so people would have to go there to see her, to make Piece Of Me a hit! And now it is and she can now start to perform outside of her POM show?  :smokeney:

Sorry if my english is bad, but I hope you understand what I mean? Anyways, Im super excided about Pretty Girls and the performance  :thirsty:

The award show is in Vegas... The owner of her contract said, if you want to see her perform, it happens in vegas.. Not sure he meant it that litterate..

I don't think it's like that. What they meant with that is that if you wanted to see her in concert you would have to attend POM. Even if the awards are in Vegas they're still not part of Britney's show, so it's a completely different thing. They either changed the contract or she was just not willing to do promo performances during the Britney Jean era  :mahhaw:

If she simply didn't feel up to performing outside of her show then I'm okay with that (which was probably the case). She doesn't need to be pressured into anything otherwise we'd probably get another cringeworthy round of the FF era promo. I'm just happy she's feeling comfortable enough to do it now.

Well, we'll never know for sure about her contract. But about the lack of performances for BJ, I think she made it pretty clear when she said she didn't have to do every TV show, because she doesn't have anything to prove or something like that. Britney and her team were pretty confident that the album and singles were going to sell by itself, because she's Britney Spears (the worst part is that I think the same way hahaha :lolll: but I guess we need to be more realistic, especially them, who are the ones gaining or losing money).

Also, I never heard about the 100 shows. I thought the contract was for 2 years, or it was 1? I don't know, but they talked in terms of years, they mentioned the number of shows around 90 something, but with the multiple interviews and articles I understood like the contract was for the amount of time, and that the number of shows could vary during that period, and of course that the residency could extend after the original contract finished.

But I'm just talking from my ass and what I can remember from 2013, so I don't know. :goofney:

She didnt perform during BJ because she had no time for it (and she probably took advantage of the situation lbr, i'm sure it didn't bother her and she didn't argue to find a way to perform because she was totally fine with it tbh.)

But they almost didn't have time to rehearse the show itself anyway so how could she have time to rehearse for a performance and perform? And i also believe they wanted all the attention on Vegas so she didn't perform anywhere before it started for that reason, but it has nothing to do with the contract it's just a marketing tactic.

I'm pretty sure they believed the singles and albums would sell by themselves, so they were fine with that plan. But then Perfume flopped, BJ flopped, the exploitation was scrapped so yeah even if they had plans to make her perform after Vegas started, she didn't do it because it was simply too late and useless.

The bbma's are in vegas and she is a vegas only act so she doesn't breach her contract!

But I don't understand how she is performing at a venue owned by MGM? Aren't they a competitor to Caesars Entertainment?
