everybody loves it tbh I shared it on my indie hubs on social media and I've gotten nothing but great feedback! They LOVE the mood and feel of it, and they all agree that Moroder masterfully handled Brit's signature style and voice.

 

Probably the funniest thing is when I showed it to my mom earlier last afternoon. We went about our day, went to see Ex Machina (amazing movie btw), showed her some new music I've been listening to, and at the end when I asked what she thought about it, she was like "it's nice, but to be honest, I'm still fixated on that Tom's Diner version with Britney you showed me" HA FUCKING IMPACT :yayy:

I think TD's is helping to dispel the notion in her that Britney is an American tragedy and more a woman with ideas who's embracing getting a little older. Overall, she values talent over sexuality in any pop star, but she admits that Britney as entertainer is compelling in her own right, and somehow in a way that's more "interesting" (for lack of a better word) than other dance-entertainers like JLo/Janet/Madge

My mom was totally on the Bey Train til BEYONCE dropped and she her perform again. She def isn't a fan of whoring yourself out for publicity, which is why Bey, Rih Rih, Gags, Madge and JLo are on her shit list.

 

tbh TD and her last People magazine with Charlie and kids really helped to improve my mom's perception of Britney, esp after seeming unflexible during FF and totally off the radar on BJ. She loves Celine, and loves to hear about Brinny & Celine's co-domination of Vegas, esp since they're so gracious to each other (esp Celine to Britney). Ultimately tho, my mom's a Whitney stan. I think being a Whit stan gives her compassion on Britney since both went thru rough times
