Do Americans Sleep In Libraries

so i stumbled across this video on YouTube  cos i've got the stomach flu/some weird virus so watching YouTube. in the video it show allot of people sleeping in the library never seen this before in Irish university libraries is it an american thing sleeping in library.

Oh gosh no. I try to avoid the library as much as possible. Hell our library closes at 9 so they rush everyone out and it doesn't open till 10am so yeah So to answer your question where I'm at ,but idk about other cities

for those of us in college where the library is usually open til like 2am, yes. We do sleep in there. It's common. I've seen many people sleeping on the ground in the back aisles late at night, usually around midterms or finals

i use to sleep in the library because theres A/C. also there's not too much noise like in cafeteria or the halls (some friends sleep on the benchs at the halls)

 

so yeah library is a perfect place for a power nap
