I thought her contract stated she couldn't do any actual shows in North America. And with actual shows, I mean a full headlining show where tickets will need to be sold for.

 

Promotional performances, like the BBMA, are fine.

I’m glad you asked that question. It’s full exclusivity in North America. So she’ll be exclusive to Las Vegas and Planet Hollywood for two years in North America. If you live in the United States or Canada and you want to see Britney Spears in the next couple of years, Vegas is the place to do it.

It was never confirmed tbh. I honestly think she didn't perform WB because she was too busy with rehearsing/planning vegas. I know she showed up on Ellen and stuff but maybe the dancers were rehearsing because they rehearse way longer hours than Britney did from what I recall in the BJ documentary. Call me crazy but at one point I had a feeling she WAS going to perform GMA but since she got sick maybe it got cancelled and didn't go through with it?

I bet venues outside of PH probably have to pay PH a fee for her to perform outside of POM. That way she's not totally exclusive to them but you gotta really want her to make it happen.

Well, they DID change the contract a few months after POM began, so maybe they let her perform elsewhere. But yeah, probably it meant paid performances. She just didn't perform her singles during the promotion run because they thought the album was going to sell anyway, so why bother?
