Pop princess Britney Spears and rap royal Iggy Azalea are working on a “super surprise†for their performance of “Pretty Girls†at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards on ABC on Sunday, May 17, from MGM Grand Garden Arena. Supermodel Chrissy Teigen and rapper and actor Ludacris are set as hosts.

 

“It’s something that’s never been attempted before at an awards show. But if it can be pulled off, people will be talking about it for months,†one of Britney’s closest confidantes told me over the weekend.

I don't really believe this. It's an awards show that's going to be broadcasted in front of millions of viewers, I doubt they would leave preparations for something "so big and adventurous" to the day before the show. Everything for a ceremony as such has to be rehearsed and planned ages in advance. It sounds like something exhale would make up to cause meltdowns and reminds me of that story back before the 2007 VMA's.

I don't really believe this. It's an awards show that's going to be broadcasted in front of millions of viewers, I doubt they would leave preparations for something "so big and adventurous" to the day before the show. Everything for a ceremony as such has to be rehearsed and planned ages in advance. It sounds like something exhale would make up to cause meltdowns and reminds me of that story back before the 2007 VMA's. 

 

They usually do a camera rehearsing before the show tho so i don't know. But we know Britney's team, what Robin Leach is saying is probably true, but what the person told him is probably exaggerated, we all know they're always saying everything is amazing and wonderful while in fact it's basic af  i honestly believe him this time but i don't believe the person who said that to him.

Her worst performances are still better than the basic ass stage shows put on by today's flop sluts like Moogan NeedzATrainor, Salsa Gomez, Basic Perry, Viley, Rihtard, and so on. She's gonna slay the performance, she wouldn't agree to do it if she wasn't ready.

So I imagine the truth lies somewhere in the middle. I don't, however, think this performance will go the same way as Gimme More went, simply because Britney is in a completely different state of mind, and absolutely amazing in Vegas.

Of course she's been slaying. I didn't mean the opposite. But you know, when any artist, in general, try to do something really amazing, "out of the box" there's always a big risk of failure. Like or it can be really, really, reaaaaally good, which I'm pretty sure it'll happen, or it can be really bad, you never know. It's like 50/50.

I trust in Britney, and I believe she really trusts Iggy and maybe that's what's giving her confidence. We can't deny Britney has changed since the old days when she slayed the awards shows, it's not the same performing at Vegas, than at a televised show, that's gonna be seen around the world, that now everybody's expecting, both lovers and haters, and that sums a lot of pressure, especially since she hasn't performed in years at such an event.

I'm not being negative or something, it's just I'm not expecting something better, or bigger, or you know, than what we have been watching in Vegas performances lately (which is really good already, and I'm fine with that, but not as magnificent as 10 years ago, to what everybody will be comparing, fans and GP alike). It's not just this time, I'm like this with everything, you just can't expect more or the disappointment is gonna be huge, and that prevents you from appreciating what she gives us. If she surprisingly gives something 1000 times better, then, fine, slay me Godney, but I have to keep it real.

And the VMA's 2007 comment was just a bad joke because it's funny how they imply that there's a magician involved this time, just like back in the day, and of course we know how that ended up. But I'm conscious that fortunately she's in a totally different, better place today, completely different circumstances, time, shape, physical condition, as a woman, as a performer, at the public eye and that an episode like 2007 won't happen again.

Yeah, I completely agree. I think she's been slaying lately. We know she still has the talent and she can perform really good when she wants to. It's just, I hope she really gets the confidence to handle this whole situation. All eyes on her again, and all the expectations, I really want her to feel comfortable on stage, with Iggy, with the public. Lately she has shown that she feels she's not cool anymore, but I think Iggy is really giving her the confidence to the point that, well, she's finally performing at an awards show again. I never believed someday I would be thanking Iggy Azalea for something like this.
