I know ur joking, but i cant help but not to hate and cringe at that video, I swear, out of all the cartoons, tv shows, artists, movies who humiliated and shaded Britney on all levels possible during 2007 and a bit after, this one is by far the worst and most disgusting :ewomg:

That episode and the video in the OP are disturbing. I hate when Britney is portrayed as some clueless hillbilly with no talent.

Completely disagree. The South Park episode was defending Britney and calling out the media's poor treatment towards her and other celebs.

Exactly. I was about to post this. Like, I totally understand where a lot of people's misgivings toward South Park and its style come from, but, more often than not, there is a message behind the crudeness. In this episode, which aired in 2008, shows how relentless that media was toward Britney and how they massively helped in her troubled times. In the episode, the boys pretend to be her children coming to visit her to get into her hotel room. Britney is literally so depressed when she finds out, she tries to shoot herself but miraculously survives. Regardless of having most of her head gone, her management says she needs to make a comeback; they immediately take her to the recording studio and she performs at the infamous 2007 VMAS where her flaws are criticized ... not the fact that her head is mostly gone and she can hardly speak. Throughout the episode, the boys realize that all Britney wants to do is be happy and out of the public eye and try to get people to see that and tell them to just leave her alone. By the end, Britney is surrounded by paparazzi and the media and is literally photographed to death as a human sacrifice to society, while the boys are left in complete shock. The writers even glimpse into the future and show society choosing Miley Cyrus as its next target for sacrifice (remember, this episode aired in 2008).

Yes, the writers of South Park have a certain style, but if you're willing to look past the crudeness, you'll see a deeper meaning.

Look - I get the episode had a great underlying message - and it was exactly what the media required. It was a massive statement - showing how they were destroying her... But saying that - there are many ways that message could have been delivered - and humorous ways too - this was just done in poor taste.

Nothing to look past - they portrayed her as a dumb bimbo with no brains and then literally blew them out to ensure we got the point. You cannot balance out good with bad.

It was tacky and cheap humor - and dare I say - hardly creative... shows that the team they had writing it were sub par - they really could have worked on funnier ways of portraying it - but that would have required some thought - intellectual thought..
