Def my fave album since I have 3 copies :pieceofwhat:

I love how consistent the album is,and all the rock pop elements,i love rockney!

The only  thing that bothers me is that the movie got in the way and songs like she'll never be me and when I say so were replaced by the movie soundtrack

Overprotected is one of my fave songs ever along with Cinderella and Bombastic Love(that was supposed to be a single RIP)

there's the amazing ballad "I run away" the techno ballad "before the goodbye" and let's not forget the heavy metal masterpiece  Lonely :bomt:

I wish some stems of the album leaked tbh, mainly Overprotected :blackoutsmiley:  :crying1:

Its my favourite album from her entire discography, it is produced extremely well, and her vocals are on point big time. Songs such as cinderella, i run away, what its like to be me etc. are so good :tbh:

sad to say that I'm the 2/5 :( I have yet to feel Britney tbh, I find it kinda jumbled, very uncohesive, and rather hit or miss. It's a shame that her two eponymous LPs are my two least-favorite records of hers :crying5: However, Slave 4 U is genius, and I kinda like Lonely and Overprotected. I like the vocals of INAGNYAW (and it did lead to that amazing AMA performance!) but the rest of the album is pretty blah to me.

Sorry y'all :crying2:

I always go back and forth with this album. Sometimes I love it and other times I feel like it doesn't live up to the era surrounding it.

But it has some of her best songs that make up for whatever the album lacks:

Slave

Overprotected

Lonely

Boys (even though we are tired of it)

What it's Like to Be Me

The songs I dislike are the ones that are too childish, such as Cinderella.

Overall really fun and the songs kind of show her transition from cute teen to sultry woman.

3/5 for me. But closer to 3.5/5

:crying2: I know, how could I? :crying4: we can get through this together :crying5: I still believe(still believe):crying1: the era is flawless but idk if the album per se lives up to it :crying3: but I'm still holdin on tite that I'll have a miraculous moment where it'll make sense and I'll fall in love with it :crying5:

My love for it faded over the years. When I was kid, I enjoyed the childish songs and didn't really notice that they didn't fit on the album with a song like Slave or Boys. :mhm:

4.5..... -.5 because I really dislike "Bombastic Love".... What on earth is this song about????

"Before The Goodbye" "I Run Away" and "When I Found You" should have been on the standard version too... I forget what happened... Probably her team screwing us over again by not doing her partnership with BT right....

I understand :crying1: but you are still flawless  I hope that one day Godney will bless you and you will fall in love with "Britney" :crying5:

I really like it. It's my third favourite album of hers after Blackout and ITZ. There are a couple of awful songs on it though, I'm not gonna lie. I can't stand her cover of I Love Rock 'n' Roll and I'm not so fond of the more childish sounding songs on the album, but other than that it's a really solid album. I might be in a minority here but I really like the cover art as well. It's actually the era that made me a hardcore Britney fan  :)

Britney is by far my least favorite Britney album. It's uncohesive, and besides 3 or 4 songs, I never listen to it... plus I didn't know it existed until 2011. :trollney: honestly, I feel like it was a step back from Oops and even Baby. :sipstea: however, the album booklet was cool and I LOVED the era. :mhm: especially the Slave music video and performances!

With all this being said, I still like the album, despite it being my least fave of Britney's. Songs like Slave, Overprotected, Lonely, and Not A Girl are amazing! :)

:crying1: I have such trouble with Brit's "grab-bag" albums (Britney, Circus, and BJ), I prefer her more cohesive works, where it sounds like one producer/Britney really took charge with a vision. However there is hope; when I finally "got" Circus, I made a whole thread about it :gloria: maybe the day will come

and thank you @▲▼▲BlackoutZone▲▼▲ you are so flawless as well :bffs::hug:

It is definitely one of my favorites. It's in my Top 3 4.

1. In the Zone

2. Blackout

3. Britney/Circus

All the songs are flawless, especially Slave, Overprotected, Lonely, Not a Girl, Anticipating, Cinderella, What It's Like to Be Me, I Run Away and Before the Goodbye.

:crying1:

It also brings back flawless memories. I remember my parents surprising me with this CD when they picked me up from school.
