It's absurd when people think a leak could affect to the sales. It just can affect if the song sucks, and this is not the case.

well, if the song leaked a couple months/weeks before its original release it could affect on sales and the chart position, however for now we're safe imo and even if it leaks today it won't change anything.

No. I too hope it doesn't leak. It would kind of ruin the surprise of the hearing the full song on Monday.

Well, a leak can affect the sales. If the song is good, thousands will download it, losing potential buyers. Remember when Tom's Diner leaked? It even trended on twitter I think, and it got news headlines. It ended up being a huge deal. I'm sure a lot of people downloaded it. If they download a song, they obviously won't buy it later.

YES. First of all, I don't want it to be leaked since it could potentially affect sales. But more importantly, I don't want to listen to it before the 5th.

For example, I am a huge Taylor Swift fan (she's the only other artist I stan for). Her entire album leaked like 3 days early, but I didn't listen to it (which was DIFFICULT). And I REALLY enjoyed it when I listened to it the day it was released.

I've listened to Britney's music and some of Taylor's earlier music when it leaked and it's always disappointing and like opening a present early. The anticipating is fun, let's keep it that way!
