I mean I don't have anything against "basic" music, but let's be real for a moment - Her two latest albums and Pretty Girls are basic as fuck yet Britney Army still call other mainstream girls the same way. It's not like new Britney's music is different, innovate or artistic in some way

 

I'd like Pretty Girls to go #1 because I'm a fan and wish her nothing but the best, however the song isn't anything special to me and sounds like another Iggy-esque hit. Honestly I'm tired of hearing the same sounding tracks everywhere I go, Fancy was super annoying for me since day one so no surprise something similar to that didn't make any good impresson on myself. The fact it's catchy or is summer smash doesn't mean I have to love it. Such things come naturally, and you can't help it. Sometimes it seems like half of our fandom have a problem with accepting that we all like different things, but I got used to that tbh I just wish people were more understanding

Yes I totally agree It sounds like fancy 2.0  

But, I did like Femme Fatale, all though it was very mainstream sounding it had a twist on it and hiam mv was very artsy fartsy

I feel like every Iggy song has the same beat which reminds you of Fancy It's like her signature sound tbh

You can't deny that PG sounds like Fancy. It does and it's pretty obvious, to be honest. I've never liked Fancy, it's gross for me. However, the video will definitely boost the song to success, let alone the BBMA performance. I agree with Dark.Knight on the chorus being annoying but just a bit. The verses do compensate for that but the first one is rather strange for me, like Britney's singing by accenting on every syllable in each word, which I found hilarious. It's a catchy song but way too girly for me. I'll probably enjoy the song more when the video comes out. It's almost always like that when it comes to music.
