Britney Spears announces her final shows in Las Vegas

Britney Spears announces her final 21 shows in Las Vegas, including a finale on New Year's Eve

 

If seeing Britney Spears perform in Las Vegas is on your bucket list, then get to Planet Hollywood Resort fast. The pop star just announced the  final shows of her two-year residency “Britney: Piece of Me.â€'

 

 

Spears booked eight dates in October, nine in November and four in December, including a New Year’s Eve finale. The show originally opened Dec. 27, 2013.

Spears just released her new single “Pretty Girls†with Iggy Azalea, and the song has already reached No. 1 on the iTunes Pop Chart. The pop princess even made room for the song in the latest rendition of her Vegas show.

The production includes more than 20 of her hits, including “Baby One More Time,†“Oops I Did It Again,†“Toxic,†“Circus,†“Womanizer†and “Slave 4 U.â€

Spears canceled shows last weekend and Wednesday night after suffering an ankle injury while performing last week.

“Britney: Piece of Me†includes a four-piece band, 14 dancers, costume changes and more. Spears became the first artist-in-residence at The Axis, Planet Hollywood’s renovated theater with room for 4,600. It  features one of the largest indoor video and projection installations in the world and is part nightclub, part theater, with a dance floor and table and bottle service from Drai’s Management Group.

Tickets range from $59 to $229 and go on sale Saturday, May 9.

Britney has done all that she can possibly do in Vegas, it's a smart move to end it by the end of this year instead of an additional rumored two years.  No doubt she'll be back in the future but for now it's time to move on. I wanna go to the final show...

This year I will stay in Germany, and during Summer vacation I wont go back home but will work instead, so I could fly home next February. By that time, there will be no Vegas anymore. Yes Then I can start saving for the tour

But..Didn't she just announce on the Ellen show that she's extending 3 more months of this residency?Even if this is the final end, at least she has to leave after March 2016, I remember she actually signed 2 years contract with PH..How come the finale is on New Year's Eve?

I think I'm the only one sad because the Residency is ending. I really wanted to go to see her, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to go this year, because of not having enough money, and because of college. When I'm free is during summer, but that's when she's on her break. And by December is very hard with all the festivities.

I don't know why everybody wants her to finish her Vegas show. I mean, I know, they're all expecting her to go on a world tour. But I think you're very innocent if you believe she'll do so, just because she ends Vegas residency. I see really difficult that a world tour happens again. Maybe she'll tour just in USA and with luck some dates in Europe. And I'm talking about 2 or 3 years after Vegas. That, only if she doesn't want to get married and pregnant and take care of her new child after this.

I'd rather have her performing in Vegas for one or two more years, but knowing that she's active, and having the videos every week, than start to wait again for a new era, without any sight of her at all.

If it's difficult for me to go to Vegas now, if she embarks on a world tour, it would be almost impossible for me to go to her show, because she never comes to my city. With Vegas at least I could plan with anticipation (if I had the money and time ) and choose from a plenty of dates the one that fits me the most. Maybe if she performs in San Diego, but that would be only one or two dates, and I don't know if I'll be able to skip work, or if I have something out of my control for that date.

Yeah, I'm thinking the Piece of Me show will be done and they'll have a new residency start in the late winter/spring. New show, backdrops, set list, choreo. It would make people who've already travelled to see her once want to fly out and see her again.

It would also give her dancers the opportunity to explore other opportunities and maybe swap a few out or whatever. I'm a huge fan of seeing her happy so if being at home with her boys 3 days weeks works for her.. Great! She has nothing to prove!
